This is a fairly new band on the blues scene and this effort on the Delta Groove label captures their sound quite nicely. There is a lot of variety here from slow burners to high heat and lots of electricity in this band. What I appreciate was that they don't overplay - the solos are appropriate and efficient without being overblown or excessive. Tasteful guitar, solid vocals, nice B-3 organ work and some tasty harp. Overall, a rather good listen and a good sophomore effort for this new band. Look out for these guys in the future. Recommended.

The singer's approach is a lot more effective on the macho stuff & lighthearted lyrics than on the "heartbreak" stuff. As these guys build a repetoire of tunes that reflect their strengths, they'll be a top act.
