5.0 out of 5 stars The best gathering of Clarke's music on the market today!
Superb gathering of tunes from various "black" movies. I hadn't seen many of the films but went and rented them just from listening to this CD. That says a lot about someone's music...when it makes you want to see the film. Great job by Clarke. More impressed with this CD than his Bass-ic Collection (not a good judge of Clarke's capabilities). At the...

3.0 out of 5 stars PRETTY COOL MUSIC
I only purchased this CD because of the PASSENGER 57 theme but I came to realize it also had the music from other films like POETIC JUSTICE & HIGHER LEARNING,the music is so soothing and relaxing as well like a jazz cd.

Stanley Clarke is very much unheralded; just the track "Lisa" (Passenger 57) is worth double the album price. Magnificent!

...closed your eyes and imagined you were floating on a cloud? If not, purchase this CD, put it in your stereo and get ready for a ride to heaven. Stanley is so awesome! This CD demonstrates that Stanley is deliberate, concise and very thorough in his expression of music as it relates to films. The fullness of each composition fills your heart, mind and soul and leaves you hopeful that some day, someone will understand you and communicate your thoughts in some type of creative way. What a wonderful piece!

Having listened to stanley for 28 years now, I never fail to get goose bumps down my neck, especially when hearing a new release for the first time. this album is no exception. I want to have this man's babies. He is the inspiration for my own bass playing career. Stanley, a genius amongst genius's.

I heard the song 'Lisa' on xmradio liked it and made the purchase.
I also bought 'East River Drive'. I was not a 'Stanley Clark' fan but these songs grew on me.

A MARVELOUS collection is "Stanley Clarke at the Movies"!! One would not have to be familiar with any of the film titles on this compilation in order to hear and feel the emotion in every last musical arrangement!

The orchestral piece I most enjoy from "Stanley Clarke at the Movies" is "Lucky Again," from one of my top favorite films, POETIC JUSTICE. "Lucky Again" has a relaxing melody with a FANTASTIC finish!
