The Windows on the World Books have found a wide audience among armchair travelers of all ages though originally targeted toward younger readers. They are excellent for family reading aloud together.
As we are departing the US through JFK Airport, to our surprise, we see Batman -- only to realize it is just a Halloween costume. Our flight into Katmandu is magical as we gaze out at Mt. Everest, truly the top of the world. We enjoy tea in the lovely little English hotel garden until there is a rather disturbing earthquake. We meet many interesting people and we hear the incredible story of The Living Goddess. And our friend Mr. Thapa tells us his story about the Yeti.
