This album is pretty atrocious. Terrible guitar tones, bad vocals, etc. This is a real tragedy, and let me tell you why. Fury of V had a fantastic live show, with stellar stage presence. The singer looked like Fabio with tattoos, and was I-N-T-I-M-I-D-A-T-I-N-G, yet oddly compelling. Fury of V could get a crowd going like no one else, and this cd (and the one after it 'This Time It's Personal') does not capture this even one bit.
This sounds like an assortment of bad metal breakdowns thrown together with no attempt at establishing actual songs. The 'singing' (as opposed to the shouted vocals) is embarrassing. I don't think the band is entirely to blame here. Whoever produced this really went out of their way to not make the guitars sound heavy at all. I'm at a loss to see how this happened. Turn on any decent tube amp, turn up the gain, tune down and surprise! you've got a heavy tone. Not rocket science. If you want to get any kind of feel for this band you're better off trying to get your hands on an old demo, or their old release "No Reason to Smile."

Expected hardcore but got cheese metal,

This album is horrible. The lyrics are cheesy, the music is boring and the songs feature 80s era metal solos. This really is a bad hardcore album. Try buting an All Out War, Turmoil or Vision of Disorder album instead.

I don't know why they never made it big, but this CD is the best CD you can have!! From the vocals, James Ismean to the Drummer Chris Cage...It's a SIC group!!! I recommend this CD to ANYONE who likes Metal and SIC drumming!!!

They claim to be so tough, yet I have personally slapped around every member of this band. And their music is so wanna-be tough, it's a joke. My grandmother is harder than these guys.
