I can verify that this is the Complete Season 3 of Rugrats, 26 episodes (one of which, Passover, is double-length) and comes on 6 discs.

Normally I would reccomend any of Amazon's MOD releases of Nicktoons (Rugrats most emphatically of all), but this is a reasonably good deal for the amount of content.

So, 39 of the 65 original episodes of Rugrats are officially available on DVD... all that remains of this early period is the second half of Season 2, which Amazon has inexplicably seen fit to skip over. An issue of these episodes, on their own or as a reissue of the existing Season 2 set, is in order.

I grew up watching Rugrats during the 90s. Rugrats had 9 seasons, however the only seasons I like are seasons 1-3. Season 3 of Rugrats is the best season they wrote. Something happened after season 3 and Rugrats started to go down hill fast. All I can figure is they must have had new writers...but even their voices are slightly different. Anyways, season 1-3 is the golden age of rugrats. I can remember every episode. All I need is season 1 and a complete season 2(not yet available) and I'll have my favorite cartoon collection. If you like the Rugrats, then I highly recommend buying Doug (any season), the first 4 seasons of Hey Arnold and Rocko's Modern Life and the fist 4 seasons of Arthur.

Just like with the whole 2nd second of Rugrats, season 3 contains another bonanza of 51 episodes, including Chuckie experiencing what the world would be like without his being born (a real take-off of It's A Wonderful Life), the infamous Dummi Bear Dinner Disaster, Angelica supposedly becoming a big sister (in 2 different episodes) and being a big baby on her own birthday, how the Rugrats first met, Chuckie being in love, Susie being played by E.G. Daily in 2 episodes when Cree Summer was somewhere else, a take-off of Rocky and Bullwinkle from Stu and Drew's baby years, and the revered Passover special. Whether you're Jewish or not, this episode's a milestone in the show's history, as the Chanukah special kicked off season 4 the same way. The series would've ended then and there, had it not been for loyal fans young and old. SpongeBob's 3rd season and Digimon's 4th went through similar pressure AND loyalty by the summer of 2004, so's Nick and Disney could keep them going. In Rugrats' case, when the Nicktoon series AAAHH!!! Real Monsters was completed in 1996, Klasky Csupo went back to work on Rugrats, thanks to Nick's incredible input & ideas, making another 6 seasons (the next 107 shows' worth of episodes), the movie trilogy as well as the 2 Tales From The Crib movies. What bugs me about this set is that dual-layered DVD-R discs weren't used for it nor season 6, only single-layered ones. But they still fit great in single normal-sized DVD cases. Another that bugs me, with my copy of Rugrats' 3rd season, during the Home Movies episode, the audio drops out a few short times. Does Amazon's CreateSpace stuff offer a disc replacement guarantee, like the Warner Archive does for defective discs? All the other episodes never did that, and thank goodness for that!Read more ›

The rugrats are always funny. It doesn't matter if you are five or like me fifty they are cute and amusing. My whole family gets a kick out of the humor and its something everyone any age can veiw with no hesitation.

The quality of the print is perfect...it's just like watching the original showings years ago. Surprisingly they are not Closed Captioned (being a childrens show I would have expected that), but otherwise they are all the episodes in the original airing order. This is a great addition to any classic Nicktoon collection.

Still no word on the second half of Season 2 but Amazon is bringing us season 3 and 4 of the classic Nickelodeon series Rugrats. At long last (season 1 and 2 came out over two years ago!) fans will finally be able to own more episodes. These DVD-R sets are of decent quality, nothing spectacular but they are a few steps up from bootlegs if nothing else, proper artwork and menus all packaged nicely in standard DVD cases. The video isn't cleaned up any, that said the picture quality on these sets is what you remember from original airing so you shouldn't notice any differences. The series is classic, the first five seasons are some of the best children's television ever produced. Here are the classic episodes from 1993/94 that SHOULD be included in this collection:

40 Dummi Bear Dinner Disaster / Twins Pique
41 Chuckie's First Haircut / Cool Hand Angelica
42 Tricycle Thief / Rhinoceritis!
43 Grandpa Moves Out / The Legend Of Satchmo
44 Circus Angelicus / The Stork
45 The Baby Vanishes / Farewell, My Friend
46 When Wishes Come True / Angelica Breaks A Leg
47 The Last Babysitter / Sour Pickles
48 Reptar 2010 / Stu Gets A Job
49 Give And Take / The Gold Rush
50 Home Movies / The Mysterious Mr. Fiend
51 Cuffed / The Blizzard
52 Destination: Moon / Angelica's Birthday
53 Princess Angelica / The Odd Couple
54 Naked Tommy / Tommy And The Secret Club
55 Under Chuckie's Bed / Chuckie Is Rich
56 Mommy's Little Assets / Chuckie's Wonderful Life
57 In The Dreamtime / The Unfair Pair
58 Chuckie's Red Hair / Spike Runs Away
59 The Alien / Mr. Clean
60 Angelica's Worst Nightmare / The Mega Diaper Babies
61 New Kid In Town / Pickles vs.
