5.0 out of 5 stars Thorough telling of the first computer, July 21, 2011

This review is from: Atanasoff: Forgotten Father of the Computer (Hardcover)
I bought this book for a reference for a paper I wrote for a humanities class. It covered in detail everything I could want to learn about starting with his own ABC computer, meeting with John Mauchly, and eventually getting his ideas stolen by Mauchly as well as the trial that occurred in 1973. Good read on its own, very technical about vacuum tubes and switches if you are into engineering and such.

4.0 out of 5 stars Remembered Father of the Computer, May 11, 2010

This review is from: Atanasoff: Forgotten Father of the Computer (Hardcover)
Well written in a comprehensive literal way. Having talked with Mr. Atanasoff years ago (distant relations) I found the book true to his principles and easy to understand. Thank you for remembering.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pure fictio, and badly written, December 6, 2010

Pure fiction. Save your money. Read ENIAC by Scott McCartney instead. McCartney researched the subject thoroughly and presents a balanced viewpoint.
