Smooth control, great "paddle" feel, and ten classic games...there's not much more to be said. Don't be fooled by some of the more negative reviews for this product...the two player model is a great emulation of the original Atari VCS games...the paddle moves fluidly and smoothly, the games and sound are mostly spot on, and who doesn't want to play breakout or pong again....

It's just too bad they couldn't have swung a deal and gotten Kaboom on here...

All in all a fantastic purchase and one I would recommend to anyone looking for a little retro gaming goodness with an authentic paddle feel...

I don't know what the problem is with the guy below who gave this thing one star (defective unit?), as mine plays great! The paddles are smooth as silk, the games are as smooth as the real thing, and the arcade Warlords is perfect! Some of the sounds in the games are very, very slightly off, but who cares? If you are debating buying this thing, DO IT NOW!

BTW, I've had an Atari 2600 since 1979, if you're wondering where I'm coming from here...

All in all, a faithful reproduction of the originals. I myself am glad I waited for the two-controller unit. It includes an on-sreen interface to change game settings that also has a 'grid' of all game variations - a real big plus!

Probably even better than what I expected for the price. Not sure if the control of the paddles has changed, or my reflexes have (I am afraid it is the latter).

For $5, it makes a great stocking stuffer, if you had an Atari 2600 earlier in life.

This game was fun for me as a 37 year old , but the fun was sucked up quickly by my 17 year old son who is spoiled by todays games. If you just want to relive a bit of the past it is worth the money. You have to have enough patience to figure out how to work the games. 5 on a scale of 10 for ease in learning .

Cool Games and great play, but I wish it had Kaboom.

Unfortunately this is a cheap product that can't replicate the play of the original games. The paddle doesn't have near the sensitivity of the original and because of that the games are largely unplayable.

If you want to have fun with classic games, go to a garage sale or ebay and buy yourself the real deal. An Atari VCS with a couple dozen games will likely be cheaper than purchasing this missed opportunity.

WOW I didnt even know this existed I modified A 1 player model w two old atari paddles and soldering a 2pl jumper and soldering new paddles onto the paddle control The REAL ATARI
1MEG OHM pots work better than the 10k ones it came w other than that it works great and is FUN the 2player warlords is even funner than circus atari TM & © Atari I like this product also DONT FORGET THERE IS ALSO A PAL/NTSC jumper pair!!!!!!! so you can play on youre PAL tv too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ATARI always comes w a way to play on ANY vidoe device even if you need a rf modulator! these games are fun also comes w retro pong and warlords arcade type games!!! . runs on four batteries and is tougher than the old paddles !!! I added 2 paddles unhooked the single pot and used the button hole to add the REGULAR Atari paddles after finding the 2pl jumper it was harder than i thought had to rewire a gnd on both paddles then solder four wires to board!! wow they really stuffed that basic stamp FULL.
worth every penny you pay for single or two player version.
ALSO I read in the instructions for Atari FLASHBACK II YES YOU CAN USE retro ORIGINAL PADDLE CONTROLERS allowing you FOUR PLAYER break out or super break out and other paddle games to let you use 4 player option the paddle version only allows two players I havent learned weather the actual 2 player version lets you play 2 player pong I havent figured out weather they locked it out on mine yet But i think they did to entice me to buy the two player version EITHER WAY it makes a GREAT van kid toy for long family trips......
