I lucked out last September ran across a Megalot a Atari 4 switch woodgrain Model and a nice ample amount of games or cartridges depdning on what you prefer to call them I ran across that on Ebay of all places. I am so happy of found another one of these I had one years ago back in the 80s and I spent many hours even missing homework assignments and getting in to some serious trouble for that just so i could play this. Too me this was my gateway "drug" so to speak into video game addiction and my love for all things video game. pc and electronics related. This started it all and I still to this day LOVE this console the most. even with my three this gen consoles the ps3, wii and xbox 360. I still love the timeless classics of pac-man, combat, q-bert, asteroids, space invaders, pitfall(my top fave),and some the other more obscure titles like fanthom,fire fighter, mountain king solar fox, taz etc. I have loved video games ever since even at my age of 36 and being a girl one wouldn't think I'd still love this stuff but I do and without the atari and having a interest in electronics thanks to it I never would of built my own pc and learned how nor wanted to. Plus I love to relive the 80s some folks think with me being a metalhead and loving slasher horror flicks and the games that I do that I am stuck in that era well I can't think of a better era to be stuck in :). Probably always love thet hings I do No matter how old I get the Atari 2600 is one of those loves and I plan to always have one around how I got along so many years without one I don't know and boy did I miss it. Retro gaming was the best still is and I also love modern games and pc gaming more less a all gen console game and this started that whole addiction. and obsession of collecting and playing and hours spent on trying to clear games and get to the next levels on them.

I am enjoying playing the 93 games I had plus some that I rec'd with this game. Works great! Would recommend buying from this person. Just as described, packaged well and am enjoying the product!!!

The original Atari 2600 is my favorite system and #1 on MY list. I reccomend this system to anyone who's interested in the history of home video gaming or anyone who enjoyed arcades when they were younger, they would love this system with its arcade based like games. Atari 2600 is still the only system that sold millions of consoles in two decades, the longest run of any game system to date. In the early 80s there wasn't a home that didn't own at least one Atari 2600.
The game library is the largest for any system ever made having well over 1,000 titles because anyone who could put a program together could have it released for the Atari and because of that the game market crashed in 84 due to an over saturation in games and actually all game systems and games appeared to be dead, but Atari 2600 survived and continued sales into the early 90s. Anyone who's owned one knows how fun these machines really are even though the graphix are nothing like todays games, but that's also what makes them fun because it gives you the ability to use your imagination. Gradually, but surely todays kids are discovering and really getting into the whole retro gaming experience and they're finding out about Atari and have started buying up the old sytems and collecting the games that are now quite sought after and could go for a pretty penny when coupled with its instructions still in the factory sealed box.
I love my Atari 2600 and play it almost everyday. I really enjoy collecting the games for it. I actually play Atari more than I play my other systems. If YOU don't have the system that started the whole gaming revolution, GET ONE, I promise you won't regret it. Here's where you'll find it, GET IT NOW! This was a birthday gift for my 14-year-old grandson who loves older things. It was in excellent condition and everything promised was included. My grandson was extremely excited when he opened the box and the huge smile stayed on his face as he examined everything. Would order from this site again.

The game arrived in working order and is alot of fun to play. Had a small problem because I thought I was going to get an atari 2600 but recieved a sears version called tele-games. Most likely an error on the listing of product. Seller went above and beyond to correct this problem. You can trust this person selling on here to give you 100% satisfaction.

A video game based off E.T. How bad could it be, right? Well if it was made today not very, aside from Steven Spielberg releasing a new "digitally enhanced version" every six months or so. But back in 1982...well let's just say that this video game killed atari. It was the final nail in their coffin. First, if you have the instruction booklet that came with it, throw it away. The game designer and instruction booklet designer only had one meeting. Everything the booklet designer was told to put into the booklet was changed by the time the game was released. The number of points for doing various things doesn't add up the way the booklet says it should and so on. Second, the entire game is nothing than E.T. walking around, falling in holes, collecting pieces of a telephone, and trying to avoid thieves who stole the pieces of the telephone causing you to start over. Huh? What does the thief have to do with the movie? I don't remember Wynona Ryder staring in E.T. lol Seriously though, once you collect all the pieces of the phone guess what happens? Does E.T. go home? NO! a flower appears with the game designers initials in the center of it. LAME! You run around collecting pieces of a telephone by falling in holes while avoiding thieves...yes, that's exactly what happened in the movie too, oh wait, it didn't. Thy should have titled the game Alien Phone...it would have sold better I'm sure, well at least people wouldn't have gotten their hopes so high just to be let down.

I own 50 Atari games and I'd gladly play ALL of them before playing this one again. I only own it because, for some reason, whenever I tell people I do they think it's cool to actually own a copy of it. Why?

Item was shipped and delivered promptly. My only complaint would be that there was only one controller...I just assumed there would be two. However, I was very pleased with the overall transaction and the item was in excellant shape. Would recommend this seller to all.

I still have my old system from 1982, however I do not have the original AC adapter. I cannot find adapters that have a male jack anymore. If someone knows the correct adapter I would need for my system, please contact me. I am trying to look it up here on Amazon, Thanks Mike

Whoever is selling these is not concerned with "testing" their product. The one I received was filthy, looks like it was never cleaned. The controller was almost shot, it would not go down or right without putting severe pressure on that side. To top it off the "select" switch doesn't even work. Wish I would have bought somewhere else.
