Better port of the actual Arcade I played, November 19, 2010
This review is from: Galaga
Well...I played an arcade of this recently...and to be honest I felt like this port was better then the actual arcade I played. It's got great sound, but it is kind of hard. I don't know if you can beat it, but it didn't feel like it. I do enjoy this game but the play is very limited. You just keep shooting and bugs keep on coming. It gets progressively harder and harder...until I quit and put Q*bert in. The controls are okay for this game.

an excellent port of an arcade classic.. well done atari..., June 22, 2011
This review is from: Galaga
galaga is one of my favorite arcade games..
i cant say how many quarters i went through back in the day on this one! and when im out, if i see one someplace ill still stop and plunk some change and and play a game or two its still addicting as ever! .. when i first got my atari 7800 back in 86 this was the the first cartridge i got..and man, its still fun to play even in 2011...
sure, they have been other versions of galaga for systems such as the turbo grafx 16, snes, genesis and others...But there was something special about the atari port.. the graphics are colorful..the gameplay is fast..what more do you need from this classic? Bottom line.if your an atari afficinado your collection wont be complete without a copy of this one.. pick it up and you'll have a great time avoiding the dive bombing alien hoards
