Slams out doughnuts. Never sticks. Never clogs. No prying out the dough. A tribute to well-made, specialized tools. I've been using both this and the mini cutter for three years. If you love making homemade doughtnuts, this is your weapon of choice. Tough enough to survive both my gadget drawer and taken on camping trips. Imagine the thrill you can create in a campsite on a Saturday morning with fresh, sourdough doughnuts. I love 'em. You will too.

Just the perfect size! I was tired of making only rectangular-shaped longjohns that I could cut with knives and scrapers, and so happy to finally be able to make "real" doughnuts. This one is very durable, I expect to be handing it down to my children someday.

While this does cut nice round doughnuts, the steel used is rather thin. Thus, it's fairly easy to misshape.
It's also slow to work with because I find that the dough sticks to it and I have to push each doughnut out before cutting the next.

After paying attention at some doughnut shops, it looks like the pros use a cutter of a different design. Look for the ones by Johnson-Rose and KegWorks. Stainless Steel Donut Cutter

This donut cutter makes great donuts. It cuts the dough easily. The only reason I gave it four stars is the fact that it is a little flimsy. Even though it is thin, it works well. It does what it is supposed to do, (cut donuts.)

I would buy it again.

I just started making homemade donuts this year. They were so popular with my friends and family, that I decided to join my friend at the local farmer's markets to sell them. Very quickly, I was making up to 6 and 7 dozen at a time, at least twice a week! My neighbors began wanting them for birthdays and other special occasions. I was using a canning cap ring to cut out the donut and a plastic soda bottle cap to make the holes. While this worked decently, it was time-consuming, switching back and forth to make the holes. Also, I wanted to make sure that I was making my donuts in the most sanitary way possible. Finally, it dawned on me to look for a donut cutter (duh!), and Amazon.com was the only place I could find what I was looking for at a decent price. When the cutter arrived (very quickly, I might add), I couldn't wait to whip up a batch just to try out the cutter. I was cutting the donuts faster than I thought, and I wasn't having to fight the small bottle cap to get the hole out!!! I WAS THRILLED! It made the entire process so easy and cut production time literally in half! I LOVE THIS CUTTER! Plus, it's stainless steel and I don't have to worry about washing it and leaving it in the dish drainer to dry. AWESOME!!!

This doughnut cutter is well made like their smaller cutter, but this size is better for raised doughnuts, where the smaller size is better for cake doughnuts. They are both stainless steel, durable, easy to clean, sturdy and well made. I'm glad I purchased both sizes.

This little baby works like a charm in cutting homemade do-nuts. I just used it and was quite impressed with how well it worked. It is made of sturdy stuff and cut my do-nuts out like a pro. I am back for another, maybe a little smaller. This one makes full size do-nuts and I want a smaller one to make my cake do-nuts with. All in all this was a great value and will last me years.

I'd never seen one of these things before, but as far as I can tell (I've used it four times now), it works great!

Ex sooo lent!!!! Great for all your baking ideas. Just use your mind to express all you can and let your cutter do the rest.

There's not a whole lot to say about a doughnut cutter, but this one works well--the cutting edge is sharp and accurate, the product arrived promptly and carefully packaged, and the overall cutter is deep enough to handle highly risen doughs. Maybe the distance from the inside cutter (the "hole") to the outside edge could have been a little wider, but overall, I'm happy with it.
