I tried, really tried, to pull bristles out of it before its first use/trip through the dishwasher, and not ONE came out. After the first bath in the d/w, one bristle came out when I pulled. Since then I've used it half a dozen times with no bristle loss. To me, that's a good brush!
It covers nicely too, whether it's an egg wash or a thick cookie glaze. The bristles hold quite a bit, and of course if you want less on it, that's easily enough accomplished. I also like this size- the handle it not too long, comfortable in my hand, and the width is perfect for my uses.
I will definitely look at other products from this manufacturer based on this brush. Very happy with it!
update 07/09/2013 I have not seen any more bristles come out since the first few, I use this brush 1 3 times per week, I treat it as above and it is a quality tool. I never put tools with wooden handles in my dishwasher.
Wish it came in different colors though.

Brush segment separated from wooden handle after first hand washing. I can glue it back in, of course. But I should not have to do that.Published 7 months ago by M. E. Jackson
