Durable plastic coated pastry bags...just can't be without them. Use them in many sizes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good buy.
These were priced right and very durable. I use this size for large scale production and I have 2 smaller ones for fine work. They clean up well and are stain resistant.

3.0 out of 5 stars gets the job done but a few issues..., June 10, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I'm kind of a newbie to reusable pastry bags, so you might want to take my review with a grain of salt, but I wasn't a huge fan of this bag. The great thing about this bag is that it's made in the good ol' USA, which is a major reason why I decided to get this one. However, I'm not sure if that outweighs the issues I've had with it.

1) It's a little smelly when you first take it out, like really plastic-y, although this did go away mostly after using it a handful of times.

2) It's more stiff than the other reusable pastry bags I have. It's harder to twist it at the end and keep a hold on while piping compared to the other bags I have. While I was piping out coffee macarons, the batter would at times come out the end it's not supposed to and onto my hand. But maybe you're okay with a stiff pastry bag.

3) The ring that's embedded into the bag so that you can hang it to dry is really small. I like my other bags that have a bigger loop so I can hang them on the knobs of my kitchen cabinets. But maybe you have really small cabinet knobs to hang it off of.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pastry Bag, April 15, 2011

I really wanted to like this bag and at first i thought I did as it is light weight and cleans very easily. But I have now used this bag 3-4 times and every time the bag leakes not out the top as that would be me but it actually leaks through the plastic and canvas making my hands very slick and hard to control the bag and what I am piping. I feel like I wasted my money!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good pastry bag, April 5, 2011

This review is from: Pastry Bag 21" Plastic (Kitchen)
This is a good, all around pastry bag, and actually the first I have purchased or used. I used it to squeeze out dough into circles for a Paris-Brest cake. It functions well with nozzles alone, as we do not have one of those plastic adapters to switch nozzles with the same batch of gooey whatever. Caveat emptor: we bought the 21 inch... it is huge, and a little bit awkward to clean. Hot, soapy water, and turned inside out, however, and it gets clean quickly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Frosting Bag, February 26, 2011

Works GREAT for filling and using with the Cake Icer Tip. Can fill it up and have some leftover after making it even on a 10 inch cake torted! Easy to clean. Makes it so much easier to have an even finish and smooth. Love this bag and tip!

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks sturdy, February 22, 2011

I'm not sure how valuable my review will be as I just used this pastry bag for the first time yesterday and it was also my first time using a pastry bag period! I love the internet for looking up cooking/baking instructions :) Now that I've gotten over that hurdle, I think that it will be quite handy for piping whipped cream, frosting, and fancy puffed cookies. Lots of people use them for deviled eggs. Although chances are, if you're reading this review, you know more about that than me :)

The pastry bag works well. I like it because it is re-usable, feels quite sturdy, and is a nice big size. I believe it was recommended by America's Test Kitchen/Cook's Illustrated. Just buy a coupler and some tips and you'll be all set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ateco Maintains, and Means "Quality", December 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My first encounter with Ateco was years ago, when I worked in a professional kitchen, and I have used Ateco products ever since. This Ateco 3118 Plastic Coated Pastry Bag (18 inch) replaces one of my older Ateco bags, which finally split after over ten years of use. These bags are still made with quality and durability in mind, and I will never ever use any other brand of decorating bag! These are the BEST!
