I ordered the Athalon 2-piece ski/boot bag combo on Monday and it arrived on Tuesday. Yes, in one day. I was pleasantly surprised. The ski bag is quite long and it fit my adult skis very comfortably. The boot bag is large enough for my 27-size ski boot with a lot of room to spare. There are no frills to these bags, i.e., no zippered pouches for ski goggles etc. And they make sense only if the bags are padded anyway.

I wanted this combo set so that it is easy to carry my skis and boots. Once there in the rental area with my kids, I can easily fold these bags (not padded, remember) and stuff them into the lockers. It's a great product for the price.

I ordered this for my first pair of skiis so we could travel to Park City. First of all, probably mainly my ignorance (I am a new skiier) but the ski bag is not padded. The 30 dollar price should have tipped me off but I just didn't realize. It is great for carrying to the local mountain and keeping the dust off at the house but I would not use this for travelling where skiis have to be stowed in a cargo area. They will get destroyed. The boot bag I did take with me and check. I am overall pretty happy with this. I can fit my boots, helmet, goggles, a hat and even my skipants into this bag. I was unhappy though that one of the handles is starting to rip through.

So, final analysis-
If you just carry to and from a local mountain, this is a fine product. If you need to travel this is not a very rugged product and I would reccommend something else.

Used this set to transport the skis and boots on the airplane. There was enough room in both ski bag and the boot bag to store a helmet, gloves, goggles, and even my ski jacket. Totally worth the price paid, IMO.

Ski/Boot bag set arrived quickly from shipper. The set is priced nicely (inexpensive) but is very basic -- no padding at all in either bag. Bags are pretty well designed -- zippers make getting to skis/boots easy to get to, straps work well to make bags as compact as possible. I might prefer something w/more padding if I was going to ship/check skis on a flight, but these bags are perfect for my needs and bankbook.

Lightweight, easy to pack, very comfortable. Great capacity, I can wrap clothes around my skis and put 4 days worth of clothes into the bag. I would definitely recommend this bag combo to my friend.

Gets the job done. Simple but functional and for $30 you can't beat it. It's not padded so I wouldn't use the bag for flying on a plane but it's perfect for everything else. I am giving it as an Xmas gift.

While the bags are nicely constructed and look exactly as they do in the advertised picture, they didn't quite measure up. Literally. I spent a good deal of time researching ski bags and reading reviews before I made my purchase, and I decided upon the Athalon bags because of the numerous good reviews indicating quality construction and the amount of storage space the bags allowed. The good price was a bonus. My husband was very happy with his Christmas present until he went to put his skis into the ski bag. They did not fit. Based on the reported length, they should have, but about 3-4" of the skis stick out the end of the bag preventing them from being completely enclosed. Needless to say, I was not pleased.

I returned the bag because my 185cm skis don't fit. It's 185 cm including seems. It seemed a good solution for the price.

The Athalon 2-Piece Ski & Boot bag combo is ok, I mean it does the job. However it doesn't have any padding, so I had to buy padding for it. FYI - You can go to KMART/WALMART/TARGET and purchase some fairly cheap and it does the job. Buy a 2-inch mattress pad and cut it as needed.

Terrific bags for the price. My son carried all his gear, including jacket, pants and helmet in these all season.
