5.0 out of 5 stars The Atheist Delusion: Buy this book! June 5, 2009
By Gary
Dr. Fernandes has written a timely book discussing the views of the new atheism. The militant atheism of Dawkins and the like need a sound refutation. Dr. Fernandes achieves this goal by providing evidence that it is reasonable to believe in a theistic God, and that faith in the historical Jesus of Nazareth is defensible. Fernandes makes a case for the resurrection, an event which shows that there is more to life than molecules in motion. If Jesus was raised then man has the answer to history

The religion of atheism does not offer any other alternative than a subjective relativistic worldview that needs to borrow from the absolute moral laws of Christianity. Dr. Fernandes has successfully debated some of the world's leading atheists so he is in a great position to take them to task in The Atheist Delusion. If you want to know about the new atheism--buy this book. Five stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Captured Me from the Cover Onward June 9, 2009
By Pam
I could tell by the cover (Darwin in stained glass) that it was going to be an interesting read. Dr. Fernandes didn't disappoint me. He plainly shows that the new atheists are a definable religion and that it is not irrational to believe in God. He shows how science, reason, and Biblical Christianity go hand in hand.

He gives the reader a very balanced portrayal of both sides of the debate. The suggested reading, at the end of chapter one, gives book lists from both theists and atheists. The Atheist Delusion is an immensely helpful work on the new atheism. I've read and recommend all the books that Dr. Phil Fernandes has written!

1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of paper
