I love the attached changing table and the extra storage.

The thought of lowering down an infant softly and gently seems like it will likely put some serious strain on your back.

I received this crib as a gift from my brother. It arrived on time and it was very well wrapped and boxed. At 8 months pregnant, I was able to put most of it together by myself - after I got my husband and 4yo to put the drawers together in another room =). Instructions were easy to follow and I was done in about 2 hours (with frequent breaks!). Please note that the attached changing table is not standard size. I purchased the LA Baby 4 Sided Changing Pad 30", White and if fits perfectly. =)

I absolutely love this crib. I will say that the box it came it was extremely heavy, if I hadn't had a male friend here to assist me I wouldn't have been able to get it to the room (perhaps manufactures should look into sending it in two boxes). I am almost six months pregnant and managed to put it together just fine. A couple of the parts that slight damage, but purely cosmetic nothing that would affect the integrity of the crib. The storage is wonderful, I don't have a lot of room at the moment for a crib, dresser, and changing table so this product works well for small spaces. The only problem I had, and it wasn't with the crib, is that when purchasing it was recommended that I get the mattress and changing pad as well. I decided to, and they both arrived before they crib. Once I got the crib put together I tried to put the changing pad on the table and it was too large. Because the pad got here before the crib the return window has closed and I am stuck with a too large changing pad. So if you decide to get this crib make sure you check the dimensions of the changing table before getting the pad... and don't go with Amazon's recommendations.

I haven't rated anything poorly before but this crib rating took me forever to consider. When I had purchased this crib 4 months ago I read tons of great reviews. The pictures looked fantastic and even though I did read about the changing pad issue and the mattress height I was willing to do some research to fix these. I regret this.

1. Our crib came in a giant box that weighed at least 100 lbs. It was easy to push it into our nursery but be warned- it's heavy.

2. Unfortunately, we did not inspect the crib when it arrived. In fact we did not look at it until we opened it up to put it together (3 months after we purchased it). The main reason for this was because the box was massive and heavy. I was already 7 months along with complications so my assistance was useless. When we did open it up we found 2 huge chips on the exterior boards that are definitely noticeable. We were able to cover them up however I recommend checking the box/pieces as soon as you can for damage. This seemed to be an issue in other reviews.

3. Assembly, was pretty straightforward. As mentioned above because of my condition during pregnancy I was not able to assist except for putting dowels in and holding pieces in line for my husband. We got all the way to the end before we realized we forgot to attach the secure mattress holder... -.-

4. Mattress height is an issue. I'm 5'5" and currently 39.5 weeks along. I definitely cannot reach the mattress without facing away from the crib and doing a side scoop. I know I will lose weight but this is going to be an uncomfortable reach. Thank goodness we're using a bassinet when he arrives. Anyone under 5'9" will at least need 2 mattresses in this crib when you place the baby in there.

5. The changing pad.

My sister and I both bought this crib in anticipation of our newborns. I regret it and am considering breaking the news to my hubby that he needs to disassemble it and send it back. Here's what you should know:

1. The crib height is not adjustable. That's basically a standard feature and they don't have it on this model. I am fairly tall (5'7") and I won't be able to reach my baby in this crib. I called their support desk and they recommended I buy a second mattress to raise the height...so factor that in to your cost.

2. No one makes the toddler mattress. So forget about converting it- this crib will be useless after they are 2. Again, the call center gave me a different website to look at and they didn't have it there.

3. The changer is non-standard sized.

4. It comes damaged. I read this in several reviews and noticed a chipped area after my husband assembled it.

This crib seems so promising but it is not. It took my husband hours to assemble, now I'm afraid we'll need to disassemble and send it back. Save yourself the time and money and skip this crib.

I wasn't sure about ordering a crib for my baby on the way online without seeing it in person first, but I am so glad I took the risk. I love this crib. Its cute and has ample storage and looks exactly as pictured. The changing table is smaller like other reviews have stated but is still really nice. My only complaint might be that it has only one mattress position which is really low and can't be raised and I'm 5'5 and can't reach all the way in without a step stool or something. That part doesn't bother me much for now though because my son will be sleeping in my bed for the first few months in a cosleeper, so by the time I actually have him sleep in the crib it should be easier to get him in and out. The other little problem was with it getting a scratch/ding in it from shipping it but it doesn't affect the safety or anything else really, its just cosmetic...Overall its a great crib for the price and great if you have to have it in your room or just don't have the space for all the nursery furniture but still want it all!
