This review is from: Athena Nadia Changing Table in Cherry
Overall conclusion: good changing table. Not superb, not bad, but good.
I bought this as part of an office baby shower group gift, so I can't review how it holds up to being used as a changer. I will say that I looked at a ton of changers in real life (mom-to-be was not registered anywhere-she just asked for one) and this is definitely better than most.
I am one of the pickiest people I know, and I would recommend this to a friend. If it was a different style, like one with drawers, I would probably buy it for myself someday, but I was working off the gift recipient's preferences.
1. Once assembled, it doesn't rock back and forth, shake or feel unleveled. I was shocked at how many of the ones I looked at did.
2. Assembly was EASY! I put it together by myself, at my desk at work, in less than an hour and while I was occasionally responding to emails.
3. You will need a good screwdriver and possibly an alternate wrench. The wrench provided is really small, with a 1-inch side, a 90' angle and a 3-inch side. When you are assembling the side rails, the wrench only fits into one hole on each side when holding the 3-inch side. So for the other rails (with a total of 12 holes) you have to insert the long end and tighten by turning the small 1-inch end. Kinda ridiculous, and my thumb hurts.
4. Before I realized how to properly hold the wrench, I put a scratch in the changer. Disappointing. I bought the cherry finish so the scratch shows up pretty easily. I thought maybe I was just going too fast, but I later dinged it with my (acrylic) finger nail. Oops!!!
5. The side rails are made with real wood! I like that. The shelves are made with either particle board or masonite board. But, it is very sturdy.
6. Might not be the best choice if you have pets or other children since I could see it scratching easily. I would say it would be best to put it in a safe spot/corner that won't see a lot of traffic with the potential for things to hit it.
7. I'm 6 feet tall and the changing shelf seems a little low to me. It would probably be great for anyone less than 5'9", but I'm used to things not being tall enough for me.
Hope this helps!

Beautiful and sturdy!!!, March 4, 2011

I am extremely pleased with this product. The changing table is beautiful and it is far sturdier than the ones I've seen for sale in stores. The price is right as well. When the item shipped, it was missing some screws, but I contacted the manufacturer and the screws were shipped out to me that very day. So I was pleased both with the final product itself and the customer service I received.
