yet another album from PT,

This review is from: Atl: A Pastor Troy (Audio CD)
Pastor troy returns with his 10 solo album since 1999 (also his 3rd in 10 months and 5th in last 25 months). This is the 9th album of PT's, that I own, and for the most part, they;re all strong 4 star albums (i'd give one 3.5 stars and two 4.5 stars). If you're a fan of his, then you already know what's on here. Some hood tales, songs about cars, girls, and a party track or 2 with some more deeper lyrics as well. If the formula works, why change it? With only 11 songs on here, it is a shorter album. Of the 11, I skip 1, 2 are ok, the other 8 are good, a few being real good, but no classics on here. Guests are minimal, on 4 of the 11 songs. Production is nice for themost part as well. Batkave does 4 songs, Jaz does 2, Pastor Troy, DJ Squeeky, J Boog, K-Rab, and Dave moss all do 1 song. A nice album for his fans to grab.

pastor troy made his hits while in the great ATL. dont know when he moved to cali to help these struggling record labels, real talk, siccness, smc and maybe the last is madd society what exactly happened but im going to tell you that this album is str8 garbage. i mean pastor is only doing 1 bar a song and letting the beat finish the song while he just grunts and says yeah baby, i mean that is not a rapper who had so much success in the ATL with earlier albums. bloods, crips was a song i had a hard time believeing he made simply because he has never had any gang ties so why rap about some'em u dont know nothing about, then i guess the only song i can get down with is you dont wanna w/ ludacris had a good beat but was way too damn short. once again 1 bar is not enough pastor. my advice is go back home and make all of us proud by making a classic album in your own hometown, also i am hearing and seeing reviews that pastor has gone downhill since going out to cali and for me ill agree. i got this cd for a penny so im happy that i didnt go above that price because this album is not good enough to be calling it A-Town Legend. pray for pastor ppl. peace.
