THE best southern cookbook,
By A Customer

I've cooked most everything in this book, and haven't found a dud yet. For true southerners like myself, or anyone just interested in the culture ... the traditional (Sawmill Gravy or Strawberry-Pretzel Salad) and the nouveau (Scalloped Pineapple or Chastain Chicken )are well represented here!

I've always said that if I get three great recipes out of a book, it was worth the money and this one was worth it for sure. I've used and enjoyed the book so much, that this purchase was to replace the one I purchased in the EARLY 80's (may even have even been a 1st edition). The old book was used so often that the cover and many pages are completely missing...bunches of well loved recipes and the book truly was the starting point of my love for Junior League cookbooks!

Such a huge fan of all the Junior League cookbooks but Atlanta's cookbooks reign supreme! I love giving them as gifts to friends, co-workers and out of town guests! To quote a friend from Colorado who just received one "Darn, y'all southern women know to cook!
