This CD Storage Case gets the job done ;for the most part,

The whole purpuse of investing in a CD rack is to be able to store your CD's in a relatively condensed manor, while at the same time helping to preserve the condition of the outer jewel cases. In that regard, it holds its own masterfully. The price is also very reasonable considering the total capacity of cd's that can be stored.Just be forwarned that this storage rack (along with many others)is not intended to hold a large quantity of "double sized jewel cases" (commen with many Playstation one and 4 disk Japanese/ foregin 4 disk sets). IT IS INTENDED FOR SINGLE JEWEL CASES. it can only hold about 3 or 4 "double sized jewel cases". Overall, a great value, just keep in mind the above inperfection.

bad,

cons
tips extremely easy on carpet and if you have a lot of cds stacked at the top poorly designed, it is a vertical cd rack that doesnt have individual slots for cds, so if you want a cd from the bottom of a stack you have basically pull the whole stack to get to it putting it together was a pain, the one i bought i had to break a piece of metal just to fit it in its guide holes. again..poorly designed... doesnt even fit cds that well, there are gaps, and the cd casses are loose fitting pros .......... i guess it can hold a lot of cds....

I have three of these CD towers, and in general I'm very pleased with them. I like the wave design, and they hold a LOT of CDs. I don't mind having to take off a whole stack of CDs to get to the one on the bottom, and as long as you balance the distribution of CDs properly, they don't tip that easily. I always place mine next to a wall, anyway. My biggest problem is that they are sometimes very difficult to put together. Of course, that is only a temporary issue, although an incredibly vexing one.

This Atlantic CD Storage Case makes attractive CD storage a reality. It requires little assembly and the cherry wood base and details at the top add a sense of refinement that you don't always get with a CD storage rack. The rack fits in a corner, a closet or just about anywhere as it is compact yet big enough to hold up to 110 single jewel case CDs in a compact, vertical space.
In addition, the wavy black colored steel rods going up and down the sides of the CD rack are tastefully designed; this is one CD storage tower that won't ever be an eyesore! The wavy design fits in especially well with modern or contemporary décor. One reviewer notes that this CD storage rack doesn't hold too many CD "double sized jewel cases." In my opinion, they're partly right. It can hold two or three of the double sized jewel cases on each level of the tower--and with nine "levels" that's about eighteen double sized jewel cases. Not too bad. If you need storage for more double size jewel cases, however, you may want to consider another type of CD storage rack or case. Overall, this attractive, easy to assemble storage tower houses CDs very well and the cherry wood base and details give it a handsome appearance. It goes particularly well with modern or contemporary décor and it lasts forever (mine's about two or three years old already). The rack is easy to move about as it is only six or seven pounds at the most when empty; and you can even place it in a closet if you wish to keep it there for any reason.

as someone else mentioned its not the sturdiest rack out there, but it has not tipped over on me so i really cant complain.
it looks good, and its easily put together. as for the sturdy issue, i look at it like this. since when do you place cd racks in the middle of the room?? NEVER!! people will typically place them in the corner of a room which is fine and you will NEVER have an issue with the rack at all. i have mine set right near the entrance of the bedroom door and i have brushed up against it and bumped elbows with it, and it ever so slightly moved a little but nothing where i was worried about it falling. oh and i have carpet in my room which makes it for a less sturdy foundation. i have even thought about purchasing another one for dvd's. personally speaking i def recommmend this cd rack.

Don't Move It!,

This review is from: Atlantic Wave 1316 110 CD Tower (Black Steel/Cherry Wood Base ) (Electronics)
I have had this CD storage unit for about a year and a half now. Mine is completely filled and it is on a carpeted surface and it does not fall over like previous entries have stated. However the only problem I have with mine is the fact that it's not to easy to move while it is full. I like to rearrange furniture and when you move this it takes quite a while because it will dump if it's full or you can empty it, move it, and then fill it. Overall though, I think it's great. Not to mention it looks really cute too!

I've had my Wave CD storage rack for almost 5 years now and I'm more than happy with it. It's been moved around, bumped and wedged between pieces of furniture, yet it has held on quiet nicely. I was originally attracted to it's wavey design which for me, is more artwork than just another storage case. I plan to buy another one.

I have never had this device fall over like others have complained of, either. Granted, I do have mine situated one a hard wood floor but even so - it seems sturdy enough.
It is a little irritating with the wave structure how some of CDs won't fit but other than that I find this tower really helpful. It's a nice and fun way to store your CDs!

It's a nice look, but it tips over very easily. It is not steady on a rug surface dispite what the picture on the box shows. My advice is if you need a CD rack that holds a lot of CD's? Save your money and invest in something nicer and more sturdy.

Pros:
It can hold a LOT of CD's. It's fairly cheap for the amount of space it has. Cons: It doesn't have individual slots for CD's, so you need to pick up a stack to get one. The spaces are a little wide for the CD's. It's not very stable on carpet, but I have it on my computer desk anyway and it hasn't tipped or swayed. Overall, this would be good for someone with a large CD collection, but otherwise they should get something different. |
