5.0 out of 5 stars An outstanding railroad reference, April 20, 2005
By
This review is from: Atlantic Coast Line - The Diesel Years (Hardcover)
This book contains hundreds of B/W photographs of the Atantic Coast Line's diesel locomotives. There several color photos as well. It also has a great deal of reference to when these units first came to the ACL and their final disposition. This book has many of the same characteristics displayed in Richard F. Prince's numerous steam locomotive reference books. It is a must have for any railroad historian, or fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars An ACL fan's must-have!, April 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Atlantic Coast Line - The Diesel Years (Hardcover)
For anyone interested in the ACL's fleet of motive power, this book is a must-have. As in other of Mr. Calloway's fine railroad books, each model of loco is catagorized along with a good history of each model. Even small detail differences between the same model engine is noted so as to identify each of the phases of model. Re-build's are also noted. The photographs are excellent. This book is especially helpful for the ACL modeler. I'm glad I've got my copy.
