Well made 25" spinner luggage, May 20, 2010

This is the first time I have ordered luggage from Atlantic. I was hesitant to order from this "new" company since I have traditionally purchased luggage from American Tourister and their luggage has held up over many years and many trips. However, my luggage was old and getting worn out and I needed new luggage.
I needed a bag that would fit on an airplane as checked luggage, that was well made, had good pricing and which did not have excessive weight when empty. I also needed a bag that I could independently handle, without having to rely on my husband or someone else but which would offer amenities that I have come to expect.
I had heard about spinner wheels on suitcases (4-360 degree wheels) that make it easier to negotiate airports and other areas where I travel. Therefore, I was looking for a reasonably priced spinner luggage between 24" and 26" that would last for years. Many of the spinner bags seems to be highly priced so this was challenging. I was looking to spend no more than $100. Last year I had traveled to Greece and Turkey and had a hard time pulling luggage through the streets from public transportation to my hotel. My old luggage had only 2 wheels and these wheels did not always want to go in the same direction as I did. It was after this experience that I finally decided to replace my old luggage.
I explored obtaining another American Tourister luggage that would fit on a commercial airline (i.e., up to 62") but was appalled at the poor ratings all of their more reasonably priced bags received from customers. Apparently their handles are not well made for various bags that they offered in the size I needed. I found the Atlantic Compass 25" based on good reviews from Amazon customers and customers from other sites. These customers did not steer me wrong.
The Atlantic Compass 25" Expandable Upright Suiter is well made and has extra pockets that make travel more pleasurable. The wheels are amazing and go where ever I want with little effort on my part. I cannot wait to use this on my next travel adventure. It allows you to expand the suitcase up to 1.5 inches, which I also like. The handle appears to be well made and does not seem like it will fall apart. I can tell you it seems sturdier than the American Tourister bag when I compared them both in a store. Although I have not used it yet, it appears that it will stand up to the hard knocks of travel.
I also love the red color, which will make it easier to identify at the airport. The red color is not bright red, but, rather, a more pleasant dark red.
I highly recommend this Atlantic spinner luggage. It is well made, easy to use, well priced and includes amenities that travelers need in a suitcase. It is worth the price that Amazon is currently offering.

25" Atlantic Compass Suiter, September 18, 2011
The 25" Atlantic Compass Suiter is a perfect size4 for on board travel as long as the expansion feature is not used, expanded luggage will not fit in the overhead nor will the airline allow you to carry on other than that it is a great addition to your travel luggage.
