Although made of plastic it is a sturdy cd holder and even holds my Bose cd player on top of it without hurting anything. I am very happy with it and the price was right.

Beware of the 1 and 2 star reviews. This is a basic and inexpensive CD holder. It is inexpensive because it is made of plastic. No, it does not hold double CD cases. You can tell by looking at the picture. This product is manufactured and sold for funtionality.

This Combination CD and DVD rack is just what I needed. It's nicely made, sturdy, and the design is great. I'm using this rack soley for CDs in their original jewel cases, and they fit nicely in their individual slots, and are easy to grasp and remove. There is just enough side to side play for the CDs to slide out freely without being loose and sloppy, yet snug enough that they are securely held in place. It's very simple. No spring loaded tabs that break off, and the back side of the rack is completely enclosed like a box.

The depth of the case is just right. The end of your CD sticks out about an inch for easy viewing and removing, and the plastic has a nice frosted, translucent texture, and is pale bluish gray in color. This not only looks nice, but is much less prone to smudges, finger prints and scratches than smooth, shiny plastic.

I also like the rounded corners, and what's really nice is that these racks can be interlocked with each other vertically, horizontally, or in any combination you want. There are snap on clips included to hold the units together if you like, also there are screw holes in all four corners on the back side for wall mounting if you wish, and they are even counter sunk to fit the heads of the screws flush and securely. You can also stack them on top of each other loosely, and there are little dimples and nipples that nestle and interlock together on the horizontal top and bottom sides of the rack. Very secure.

This is a very well thought out product, well designed, modular, and versatile. This is ideal for anyone who just wants a good, simple, sturdy rack to tuck inside an entertainment center, bookcase, or wherever you need it. I'm keeping mine under cover inside a closed cabinet so dust is not a real issue. These units would probably offer reasonable protection from dust if they are out in the open as well, but keep in mind they are an open design and are not sealed or enclosed on the front side. No complaints. I would rate these a 5. They are perfect, at least for what I need.

Good product and CD/DVD organizer (space is a premium in my house and books, cd, and dvds are the big space hogs), but shipping cost makes it expensive. I will try to find it directly in stores next time before paying so much extra for shipping. It is from a separate vendor.

As a DVD storage rack it lacks alot. The discontinued DOM22 DVD was far superior. As a CD rack it is tops. It can be wall mounted. It stacks in a variety of ways so you can be creative with the design and make it a decoration in your media room. For those who have double CD's there are a variety of jewel cases that will store 2 CD's in a case the size of one. They are inexpensive and this is the only way to store double CD's. I purchased mine for half the price at a clearance sale. I consider these a little overpriced but if it is going to be "furniture" in your media room, I guess it is OK.

I ordered 6 of these cubicles several months before @ $19.99 each & they came in OK shape, even though a bit more light than I expected for the price. I needed more and wanted them to match so I ordered 4 more units. Two one them had cracks on the bottom ..one the piece even missing. Was not in the box. At $19.99 a unit I feel they should have been in perfect condition and in future if they stay at this price the manufacturer should make them less flimsy and stronger. You need to pack them better so they will not get cracked. The way the postal service is with all carriers they should handle them better. This last purchase muct have been thrown in the yard over the fence to crack them. I have kept them because of the hassle to go through to return.... i just used extra clips at the bottom to join the damaged unit to the next unit that was cracked also.

Have had bad luck with another order from another Co, for a large cook pot and first was damaged, sent back and they sent another in worse shape that the first. I am thinking of never ordering on line again.

Granted you can purchase MUCH higher end CD holder than this plastic jobbie, but I have had this particular one since 2006 and believe me it gets the use without ANY problems. It has certainly done the job, and exceeded my expectations considering the low cost.

This isn't the showiest CD rack, but it looks decent. Also holds the CDs nicely. Stores many (45)CDs in a small space with jewel cases. A good deal for the price.
