I read the other reviews before ordering, and thought to myself, "Heck, for right at $30, even if they are flimsy, it's better than just stacking my DVD's on the floor!" I'm really pleased!!! I read the one review about using the glue - so when I put mine together, I put glue in the slot for the back, and believe me, I think they are wonderful! It went together in about 15 minutes (and then I let it sit for another 45 for the glue to dry) - took me longer to sort my DVD's than to put the cases together! They are small enough to fit into that nook or cranny, but big ehough to hold a lot! One little note, though, you can't get 5 rows of DVD's in one. (It looks like you can in the pictures - but they won't fit!) I got 4 rows of 28 DVD's per row - could have probably shoved one more in per row, but for $30, I'll just buy another one!

I bought three of these. Two are sturdy, no problems, well worth the price. The third is another story - as reported by other reviewers, the shelves fell down. I'd say there's a quality control problem here.

For under $60.00 - should have known this storage unit was not going to last. Only have 1 1/2 shelves used with DVD's - the shelves constantly fall... pegs that hold the shelves in are small and useless...

Spend a little more dough and get something that will last.

I love this stand.I do not understand what the problem is with this product.At the moment i live in a 475 Sq foot studio and need something small to hold all my dvds.Dispite what other people are saying this is a very durable product,if you follow the instructions and use the wood glue.I put mine together in less then five minutes.It is so simple a five year could do it and the pegs are not to small,people are putting them in backwards.This stand comes with 6 shelves,but you are going to use only 4 for dvd storage.You will be able to store 28 dvd on each shelf(=112) and 2 rows of 9 on the bottom.This thing is sturdy as He**.But dont take my word it,look at the pictures i included and judge for yourself.

Disapppointing.. They had less capacity than anticipated, and the materials, while acceptable, were not of good quality.

I was a little worried with all the negative reviews but I had no issues. Sure it may wobble depending on the surface you place this on but it doesn't for me. The price was right for me but maybe it isn't for everyone else.

For 29 dollars AND free shipping you can't beat this product. It's sturdy and looks great in my apartment. I don't know what all the fuss is about from the previous reviews. I put the cabinet together in 15 minutes. I packed the shelves with VHS, DVD's and CD's and it is holding up just fine. If you are looking for something nice and don't want to pay $399- at Crate & Barrel this cabinet is for you! I've already placed an order for another one.

DVDs stored on this shelf would get seasick - the whole thing wobbles like crazy. Wood is okay, but materials that hold the wood together are terrible. Don't buy, even for the low price.

I've been collecting VHS tapes and DVD movies for over 35 years. I have something on the order of 700 or more VHS video tapes and 300 DVDs in my collection. Over the course of these years, it became necessary to buy storage cabinets to house this sizable collection. When I bought this latest cabinet, it never occurred to me just how flimsy a cabinet could be made. Based on my experiences with storage cabinets, and the costs associated with them, this cabinet which cost me $30 plus s and h, should have only cost $12-15. The individual slats and side pieces are thin, in my opinion. Lord willin, when the time comes to buy another cabinet, I will have to find something else with more subtance and structural integrity. I can only hope that when it's filled to capacity, the shelves don't buckle and/or collapse.

Since your next request for info is to find out if I'm older than 13, I will tell you, I'm 57!!

I was using this unit to hold CD cases, which I admit can be heavy. But if you say your product can hold 280 CDs, it should be able to hold 280 CDs. As a matter of fact, well before I reached that point the weight of the CDs caused the sides to bow outward, causing the "adjustable" shelves to fall.

Very disappointed with this product.
