I needed a simple CD tower that does a good job presenting (exposing) my CDs and doesn't easily fall itself, and the CDs don't easily fall out of it. After seeing and using a few crappy, plastic, ugly boxes, that store CDs horizontally (just push it, and watch them slide out), I found this product, and it's exactly what I was looking for. When people look at it, they see the CDs, not the friggin box. And the disks lie slightly tilted to the back - that helps holding them in. Simple, perfect! And it's light too.

I bought this item for one purpose and it works great. Holds my cds just fine and it arrived faster than i thought. Great buy

Good construction, very slow on shipping, but it works as desired. Once small fixable problem: I had to physically bend the back support legs so that the rack would lean back a 1/4 Inch or so more. After we filled the rack (100 cds)it fell over forward - cds everywhere. Or course carpeting was involved which could have compounded the issue. Once bent - it worked just fine.

This cd tower is extremely unstable. I had to put a heavy item on the back supports to stop the rack from toppling over. There is only space for 2 double cds and only loads cds in jewel cases easy. The cds in cardboard cases get stuck and are hard to load.

I recently bought this CD rack despite the other reviews on there because it was the only wire CD rack with individual slots per CD that I could find (on amazon, and elsewhere). While it fulfills it's purpose, it does so very poorly.

Like other reviewers have said, the rack is basically the following shape: _|_

The CD's slide in but most of the weight falls on the right side of the line, meaning it WILL fall over if the rack is filled completely with CD's. Most wire CD racks of the past would tilt backwards so that the center of weight fell in the middle of the rack, with the depth being about that of two-three cd's in a row. This one is maybe one and a half CD depth with no tilting back. There is just a wire base that extends a bit behind (as seen above).

The only way I found that I could use this was putting it up against a piece of furniture with the back part of the base underneath the furniture holding it up. Still, the CD's are held in horizontally and can be knocked out, or fall out pretty easily if you aren't using the standard sized jewel case.

Basically, try to find something else that will accomplish what you're looking to do. I would never recommend this to anyone based on the poor quality of the design, let alone the insanely high price for something that doesn't even accomplish what it's supposed to do.

No problem with the vendor, but this storage unit is not stable. Once you fill the slots with CD's it tips forward. I put two bricks on the back to help hold it upright, but even with that extra weight, it seems unstable.

The first one I purchased was ok but the second is tilted forward so when it is loaded with CDs it topples forward. To keep it upright one must place heavy objects on its base.

This tower does hold a great many cds and does not take up much space. However, it is not terribly stable, so that sometimes a number of cds can fall out the front.

After I put the CD's on it, it wasn't sturdy enough to be on carpet. Even putting 2 bricks on the back didn't help. So I had to bend back the steel. It's still a little wobbly on carpet, but overall it's fine now.

The feature that attracted me to this product was the amount of disks it held. It is also compact and takes up little room. However, it does need to be secured against a wall or wherever you might put it, otherwise it will tip over. Other than that, it's perfect.
