There's lots of action, well written characters, and a super plot.
C. Leanne Sigman
The main characters had no chemistry, the story line seemed rushed and many things were left unexplained and the ending was uneventful.

I am loving every book and eagerly buy the next in the series as quickly as I can.

Justice has been imprisoned in the Void by the vampire Anubis for months. His humanity and willingness to fight is almost gone. The only bright light in the world of complete darkness are his dreams and visions of his chosen one. Half Atlantean and half Nereid, Justice's rage is held in check while in the Void, but he craves freedom. With the help of another soul in the Void, Justice decides to fight his way to Atlantis. However, the only way to pass through the Void to Atlantis is through death. Praying for the brave man who released him, Justice can't help the bitterness and fury he feels. Seeing the only person his heart beats for, he grabs her and disappears.

Keely McDermott is an archeologist. She also is somewhat of a psychic. Able to read and have visions of anything she touches, Keely wears gloves at all times and never touches an object without bracing herself first. She knows she is a freak - at least that is what her folks think, but Keely just wants to be left alone to discover the past. Finding a hand carved wooden fish years ago, Keely wears it around her neck because it gives her comfort and possibly shows her future with a blue haired warrior that is the sexiest man she has ever seen.

Atlantis Unleashed is nothing like I expected, but exactly what I wanted. Keely's gift or it could be a curse, saved Justice from an existence none can imagine. Their seemingly fated romance was a vision both unconsciously saw and ultimately surrendered to. And oh, how they surrendered! Justice, in all of his blue haired glory, is truly a loyal and worthy warrior and brother to the Atlantean king. He and Keely together make sparks fly - even under the water!

I can't put to words just how thrilling the Atlantean world is.

Alyssa Day is one of the best up and coming authors that I have had the pleasure of discovering. Atlantis Unleashed is fantastic!!!! There's lots of action, well written characters, and a super plot. This book is by far the best out of her Atlantis series to date, and if Unleashed is anything of a teaser to the readers about the next in the upcoming series, then hold on to your hats ladies, cause the ride has just begun!!!!

It isn't Alyssa Day's fault that I'm getting a bit tired of two current romance novel tropes, but well, I am: vamps & werewolves coming out of the closet in droves, and the instant-one-true-mate phenomenon. I don't think she brings anything stunningly new to these two plots, but neither are they just the same as every other writer's take on things. Certainly if you aren't tired of the general concept yet, I think you'll find her version interesting.

The concept of warriors of Atlantis protecting humans, however, is a bit different, particularly since their god Poseidon isn't just a silent figurehead: he's a literal force and power in their lives. Although he sometimes comes across as a bit of a deus ex machina, as well--although I guess that's an inherent danger in including the gods themselves in a story!

That said, the most important thing is that Keely and Justice are interesting, strong characters with plenty of chemistry. Keely's ability to read objects is a bit unusual in how it operates, and Justice is starting to discover new abilities related to his own Nereid heritage. While the world concept didn't immediately grab me, the characters did, and more than made up for it. I definitely wanted to read on to find out what happened to them, how Justice regained his sanity, and how hot the sex would be between them---and the book didn't disappoint!

Consider my rating a 3.5.

To save the life of his brother, Lord Justice volunteered to become the prisoner of evil vampire goddess Anubisa. She was elated to take the hybrid Atlantan and Nereid as her special guest. His sacrifice has begun to take its toll on his sanity as he has no outlet for his dueling natures.

Archaeologist Dr. Keely McDermott uses her extrasensory skill psychometry to learn what occurred to inanimate objects. She excavates a carving that when she touches it she finds herself linked to its creator; to her shock, that individual is alive though the carving is old and in torment. Their tie enables Justice to escape his bondage. With Anubisa giving chase, they team up seeking the Star of Artemis jewel of Atlantis, needed with the rest of the jewels to destroy Anubisa.

This is super Warriors of Poseidon urban fantasy entry starring perhaps the most tormented of the warriors and a courageous human who risk their lives to defy Anubisa. The story line is filled with Alyssa Day's trademark action in several locals. However, it is the lead couple who make this a terrific romantic fantasy thriller as the scientist and the seemingly insane paranormal half-breed team up in love.

Ah be still my heart...I read the reviews, the sharing of information regarding the plot and alls I can think of is the illumination into the world of Atlantis. Yes Justice sacrificed for his brother. His brothers did not know they were related, and the geas (curse) was put on the telling of it. Whoever he told he would have to kill, or he would go insane. However, just being where he is and being tortured can cause insanity, talk about a double edge sword! When he whispers "brother" at the end of chapter 1 and no one to hear, I had to grab a tissue.

Reading about Justice life, what had transpired to make him the Warrior he is to day, to learn new information about the stones they seek and what may or may not happen (sorry no spoilers from me)was illuminating. Little twists here and there and some light shone on possible books.

Although Alyssa I have to say the evil women needs a smack down big time, lets bring it on.

Waiting for Atlantis Unmasked , come on July 7th

All typos are my own.....
