Great machine, hoping that attachments will become available,

After years of using the Kitchen pasta attachments, I decided that I wanted to use an actual pasta maker. I bought the 180, and I wasn't disappointed at all. It's solidly constructed, well designed, and much easier and fun to use than the mixer attachments. The extra width of this model seems to make rolling out the pasta easier than with standard models.
The machine comes with a dual cutter for spaghetti and fettuccine--no additional cutter attachments are available for this wider-body model as of October 2010. But you you have a sharp knife and a precise hand... I think that this is a relatively new model, so hopefully Marcato will release attachments eventually.

Excellent pasta maker. Chose the larger machine and am glad for the extra width. I clamp the pasta maker onto my pullout cutting board and have ample room for cranking and gathering the pasta from both the pressing and the cutting ends. Nothing compares to freshly-made pasta. Try making spinach pasta by food processing fresh raw spinach leaves, a bit of water, a bit of olive oil, and an egg. Then add the amount of flour to this mixture to set up your pasta dough. Fantastico!
