I bought these for making soap, as I will be handling lye, a very caustic and dangerous substance. I am a smallish woman, and these come almost all the way to my shoulders, which is great. The more protection the better! They are thick enough to feel substantial and safe without feeling cumbersome. The fingers fit perfectly, too. Great gloves!

These gloves keep the water off your hands. For once I have some gloves that I don't splash liquid into. They have a great grip. I have women's size medium hands, I bought size medium and the fingers FIT!!! Best rubber gloves I have and like I said, the rubber doesn't leave your hands smelling like rubber.(Probably because they are nitrile)

Bought these to wear when working in my aquariums and I really like them. The Med size fits my medium women hands. So I would go for a larger size if you're a dude.

Features I like:
Able reach the bottom of a large tank without getting water into the gloves.
Keeps what's in the tank off my skin (like bacteria and fish poo)
Keeps what's on my skin out of the tank (like soap and lotion)
Can feel things with my fingers through the gloves.
Able to hold on to heavy objects because they have good gripping ability.
Can easily hold trimmers, scissors and planting tweezers.

Highly recommend these for aquarium use.

Update: I've been using the same gloves for over 2 years with no problems. Very happy with the quality.

update- after 4 months of use they are holding up perfect. I was just cleaning my filters again and so happy to have these on as I came across a dead frog again. I have been moving slimy rocks around with these and I can get a good enough grip so I dont drop the rocks. when I am done, I simply hose them clean, let them drip dry in the shade and put them back away. still very happy.
these are thick enough to reach in the pond and retrieve some plant buckets just fine. they have some good grip to them too. very long so you can really dig deep and not get soaked. no funny smells in our pair. not even a bad chemical one. they are easy on and off but I did go for the larger size as I hate stuff too tight.these were easy to use even tho a bit roomy and we just hung them to dry when we were done rearranging rocks and pulling out some plants. so far I am quite happy. I will post updates on how they hold up and get some photos up later too. so glad to have found these. that water is too cold to get in with out gloves and too deep for my kitchen gloves.
update- liking these more and more. been using them a lot to get the pond cleaned up and they are really lasting well for the work they take on. you can grab a good slippery rock with them too, they have enough grip. I took some photos of my son using them, he is a long armed, 6 ft tall, thin guy. we got the large size as I hate when things fit too tight, they work well tho they are a bit loose at top as he is thin but that is ok, I can clip them to his sleeve if need be, what is important is they are long enough for him to get to the bottom of the filter basket. great find.

At my facility, gloves are a necessity for the chemicals we work with (acid). I bought these due to the size and the great reviews it had recieved. I can honestly say these are the best gloves I have ever bought. They were so comfortable that, I have convinced a others to buy them for their work (chemicals as well as bacteria). No need to worry about getting your arms wet, since they go to your shoulders (and I am 6'1 with long arms)

At two different homes I've installed small, decorative goldfish ponds. But I didn't buy a pair of these gloves until recently. My mistake! They're really indispensable if you own a small pond and must keep it free of debris -- unless, of course, you love the feel of pond slime on your hands and up your arms. These are perfect for cleaning up in ponds for which using a vacuum to suck up junk, leaves, etc. from the surface and bottom of the pond is not practical or will risk sucking up fish and snails with the muck. In such ponds, removing the junk by hand is really the only way to get it done. And these gloves greatly help the job. They're relatively thick, they're tough, they're plenty long (I'm tall and have fairly long arms) and they don't leak. They're also shiny/slippery enough that junk doesn't stick to them and they're easy to wash off when you finish using them.

Doing maintenance or closing a pool and/or pond when the water temperature is falling below 40F is painful, if you can't keep your hands dry. I got by with kitchen gloves and a rubber band (to keep the water out of them) in the past, but figured I needed to upgrade.

Ordered these gloves specifically for cold weather pool and pond maintenance and they've worked out pretty good in a first trial.
+ no odors
+ seem durable for light duty stuff
+ grippy textured hand parts with a little bit of liner on the inside
+ plenty of dexterity and grip to handle screws and screwdrivers under water
+ large size fit a hand that typically wears large gloves
+ insulative enough to be in near freezing water without any discomfort, with or without long sleeve t-shirt
+ kept my hands and forearms dry, for the most part

The less than perfect stuff.

The forearm parts are unnecessarily wide, as if you'd wear a winter coat under it, which I doubt would work to slip into the gloves, and the elastic on the end is probably too tight for that. I managed with a tight fitting long sleeve t-shirt, and the shirt still rode up.

Atlas describes / advertises their 26" gloves as shoulder length. Well, fingertip to elbow is 20" for me (didn't know) and they just reach the lower part of my bicep. After one or two elbow flexes, the elastic scoots down below the bicep to just above the elbow.

The two gloves in the package I received are different lengths, neither is 26". One is 24". The other 25 1/2". Needed the gloves. Figured I wouldn't bother with a return and trial & error to get two that are the same length.
