Editorial Reviews

Review

Doody's Rating: * * * *
This is a noteworthy addition to the field which will, and should, generate much interest and admiration. Any surgeon who partakes in aesthetic surgery of the face and neck would be rewarded by reading this book.

The six chapters commence with relevant facial anatomy and then segue to the aging face with surgical approaches to the forehead, brow, face, and neck and a concluding chapter that discusses the male patient, adjunctive techniques, and various complications. The atlas is redolent with richly illustrated color plates that visually enhance the written word. Before and after photographs of patients who have undergone surgery are depicted, albeit with a modicum of color and attitudinal variance, to illustrate the benefits of described procedures.
Weighted Numerical Score: 93

"This monograph more than meets the author's goals of presenting tried-and-true techniques. It is an up-to-date text summarizing current thinking on the aging process and a detailed description of the author's surgical techniques for rejuvenation of the face and neck. I recommend this text not only to residents and young plastic surgeons but also to those with established practices." --Foad Nahai, MD, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, August 2005

"Presented in all their details, these techniques are practical, comprehensive and helpful for being studied in this excellently illustrated text. The experienced plastic surgeon may especially enjoy the final chapters." -European Journal of Plastic Surgery, May 2004.

"What is best about this atlas is the way LaTrenta presents his material: well-organized chapters come complete with concluding summaries. This book is written (and recommended) for the practising plastic surgeon. It would also prove useful to Health Science libraries as a general reference text."
The Electric Review, January-February 2005
