I was looking for a faster way to write a business plan for my new business venture, so I searched for business plan software and bought Ultimate Business Planner. I wish I had this years ago for my first business plan. My favorite part about this software is the financial forecasting part (even though my least favorite part of writing a business plan is the financial part). This software asks you for your projected income and expenses first. Then it automatically makes all the financial statements you need like the profit & loss statement and balance sheet. In the past, one of the most frustrating things about writing a plan is when I would finish the entire written plan and then realize that it's not feasible financially. This software helps me to not procrastinate with the financials which results in not wasting my time with a new business idea that won't work. Since I've bought this software, I've found myself using it to play around with new business ideas to figure out which ones I should take more seriously and actually write a full business plan.
