Awesome detail of Krynn, February 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Atlas of the Dragonlance World (Dragonlance Books) (Paperback)
when i first saw this book, i was amazed at the exquisite detail that Fonstad put into the drawings. Maps, Cross-sections, Astral Skyscapes are all drawn to such detail that you can see individual desks and more. Points of interest are noted (such as "Kitiara died here" in Raistlin's lab) and each map has quotes from the series that show where the detail come from. I was really impressed by the detail on the tomb of huma and the cross-section of dragon mountain, as well as the only known map of the Abyss itself... Only gripe about it is because it's so old (out of print in 1992) it only has stuff up to the end of the tales II trilogy. A good book, but almost impossible to find anywhere. A must for any dragonlance novel or RPG fan.

Love it, June 17, 1999

This review is from: Atlas of the Dragonlance World (Dragonlance Books) (Paperback)
This is a great book for any Dragonlance enthusiast. By some odd reason, I found two of them in the same used bookstore (after hunting everywhere for it for 3 years.) Well, so now I'm the lucky owner of two Atlas's which i don't mind, but still, why do I need two? But anyway, when reading the chronicles and the legends, this is one helpful book to have on hand (while reading the chronicles and legends alone is amazing, its even better when you can follow them along where ever they go) The attention to detail is astounding, and you can figure out the layout of everything in the saga. The only downside is, they don't have kendermore. Pity. That is one town I would love to see. :)

What a treasure to own!, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Atlas of the Dragonlance World (Dragonlance Books) (Paperback)
Along with Leaves from the Inn of the Last Home sourcebook, this Atlas is a gem of a book and I say that as someone who doesn't play the RPG, though I wish I could. This is a review from a Dragonlance novel reader. This Atlas is not only helpful but advances and thickens the story to such an enormous degree.
All the popular cities and places are here in scaled drawings as well as oodles of information written about them.
If you pick this one up, look forward to seeing and reading about:
- Inn of the Last Home
- Towers of High Sorcery (loads of information and drawings)
- Tika's house
- Thorbardin
- Ice Wall
- Silvanost
- Istar
- Mount Nevermind
- Sanction
- Neraka
- The Abyss
- Dragon Mountain
- Foghaven Vale
- Solace
- Pax Tharkas
- Tarsis
And many more...plus read information and view maps of Pre & Post Cataclysm
This is a wonderful treasure to own.
