This atlas is a real treasure trove of early church remains: 150 pages of selected photographs of monuments, buildings, art, mosaics and other remains from post-apostolic times up to about 600, mainly focused on the western church, together with academic commentary. 40 pages of magnificent full-page colour annotated maps distil this material and documentary evidence into detailed geographic representation of the spread of the early church throughout the Mediterranean area, together with the distribution of main writers, key events, etc. A truly valuable tool for those interested in the early church and mission.
