4.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable Surgical Resource, A treasure Chest of Surgical Tecniques, December 3, 2006

This review is from: Atlas of Gastrointestinal Surgery (Two-Volume Set) (Books) (Hardcover)
When I ran in to this book, I was somewhat skeptical about reading a European text. After turning the first couple of pages the book simply fascinated me with the amount of information and detailed diagrams of surgical procedures.

Why I gave 4 stars ???

1. the references are old.

2. new technologies are missing

3. black and white drawings

this book simply explains how things are done without new era surgical devices. Although this might not be appealing to some readers, I believe this is indeed an advantage for GI Surgeons.
