This is an excellent atlas for intraocular tumors. The photos are very nice and the captions succinct. My only complaint is that the text could be more complete in terms of clinical descriptions and distinguishing characteristics of certain lesions both clinically and on diagnostic testing.
Also, there is not much detail in terms of study results or tumor management...ie why one tumor was treated with sclerouveaectomy and another with TTT and another plaque radiotherapy. One can sometimes surmise this, but it would be nice if they explained their clinical decision making for the examples they show. Tips and pearls regarding their surgical techniques would have been a nice addition also...but I guess you have to be a fellow there to get that. |
