After reading the first two Agent of Atlas trades, I fell in love with the characters. That was the reason why I decided to pick up this too. Twice now I've picked it up and attempted to read it, but nothing in this book has captured my interest. The character of Marvel Boy just isn't enough without the dynamic of his teammates. Only a quater of the book features a new story, the rest reprints of old Fantastic Four issues where the character appeared.
I think I'll just stick to the actual Atlas titles from now on.

Count me as a big fan of Jeff Parker's "Agents of Atlas" stories and count me as one who agrees this three-issue story arc starring Marvel Boy does not reach the heights of the other Atlas books. But there ARE some amusing moments in this story, such as Marvel Boy--newly arrived on Earth from Uranus in the early 1950s--being taken under the wing of an official from Timely Comics so the publishing company that would become Marvel Comics can put out a Marvel Boy comic book. But three issues does not a trade paperback make and this volume is fleshed out in part with the reprinting of a two-issue Fantastic Four arc (issues #164-5) wherein Marvel Boy returns to the current Earth (of the mid-1970s) to revenge himself against the bankers who denied him a loan that might have saved his Uranian family and friends from death. It is one of the most reprinted FF stories since the Lee-Kirby days, largely due to the popularity of George Perez's artwork.

But while the above may leave you unimpressed, I just want to point out the "hidden treasure" that fleshes out the rest of this book: seven vintage Marvel Boy stories reprinted from the early 1950s, six of them with Bill Everett artwork! For fans of Everett, these are very nice stories (the non-Everett one is drawn by Russ Heath). If you can find this book at a good price and value any chance to get your hands on Bill Everett art, you might want to consider this volume on that basis.
