Alongside your Pet. microscope,

This is definitely a book to take off the shelves and keep to hand in the box with my petrological microscope. I wish that it had been there 50 yrs ago with my "Harker's Petrology"! On receipt, I was most concerned to review the tonal accuracy of the colour reproduction which is paramount for rock and mineral identification work. It is spot-on!
One criticism is that, to stand up to the regular laboratory use, I should l;The book should have been published in hard back |
