I have 8 of these for 8 inch ceiling mounted speakers. If your speakers mount to the ceiling drywall with rotational fasteners, as mine do; be prepared to modify them. There is not enough space for the fasteners to rotate in the enclosure. The speaker fasteners will not fasten the enclosure to the drywall; I used silicon sealant to prevent any vibration. Once installed they do a great job of keeping the insulation from contacting the speakers, which is what I wanted. I also used them for six inch speakers without any modifications, just run your wire and silicon the enclosure to the ceiling. You will need some decent metal working tools, metal cutting saw. I was pleasantly surprised with product it is solid and worked well for me with a little extra labor.
