This is the best laid out Paris map ever! My suggestion is to buy it at any newsstand when you get to Paris for about 8 euros. I can not believe the price they are selling it for here.

The book is laid out by pages with each of the 20 Arrondissments. It displays metro stops and markets as well.

The previous reviewer said it helps to know French, I have no idea why since the index is only street names, in French of course. The index lists the particular Arrondissment, abbreviated as Arr in red, the street or Rue, and plan (location) such as Q 21.

It's very easy to use. Say you are looking for Rue des Ecoles you look that up in the index, it tells you in Red that it's in 5 Arr. plan location M 19. Turn to the page with 5th Arr and easily locate M 19.

I was really disappointed in the overall size of this book. It is pocket size so impossible to read for most people. The print online was large and easily readable but not so when I received the book.

This is a wonderful book of maps, but it REALLY helps to read French. The up side is that the street names are EXACTLY as you will see them on the streets and locals have little trouble identifying your desired destination. I simply had difficulty using the index. I think it would help if I could have read French.
