5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Buy!
If you're a pop fan you'll definately enjoy this cd! Unfortunately, pop music doesn't get much airplay on the radio anymore but this is a definate must-have for any pop fanatic! The cd is complete, not really any 'filler-tracks'. A general all-around decent cd! Every song has something special about it!

The best songs on this cd are:

"It's OK" - A good song...

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have been good
While the remake of Blondie's Tide is High is catchy and enjoyable. The whole album is too bland and safe. These young ladies have excellent harmonies and decent voices but they seem tentative and afraid to take risks hiding instead behind retreads of old songs. This CD could have been a lot of fun but my copy is most likely destined for the used store.

The cd is complete, not really any 'filler-tracks'. A general all-around decent cd! Every song has something special about it!

The best songs on this cd are:

"It's OK" - A good song if you want to feel empowered after a break-up! Nice r&b beat!

"Be With You' - Can't say anything other than it's unique in the way it's sang and it sounds really good! A real feel-good song!

"Tide Is High" - This is a typical cover song, it's been previously covered once before, it's good though.

"Feels So Good" - I remember hearing it and thinking, wow this sorta sounds like Kylie Minoque's stuff.. well guess what, she wrote it! No wonder!

"Walking On The Water" - Plain and simple, a pretty song!

"Love Won't Wait" - Fun & simple dance song!

"Whole Again" - It's a very sweet song about long-lasting love.

"The Last Goodbye" - Another empowering song for break-ups.

4.0 out of 5 stars Atomic Kitten: The Cat's Meow?, April 26, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Atomic Kitten (Audio CD)
Atomic Kitten are a girlband from England, who have been mighty successful everywhere in the world...except the U.S.A. It's a shame because their American debut is pretty good. They're better then some pop acts today (i.e. Justin Timberlake, "X-Tina") and their music is great from ballads to dance tracks. I'll bet on this act to be America's new sweethearts by the end of '03 and with an album like this, they could easily hang with likes of Madonna and Britney. Each tune is radio friendly like the first single, "The Tide is High," a cover of Blondie's tune from the '80's. The track listing goes as follows and each track is rated from one * to five *'s.
1.It's OK - [5 *'s] - This should be the next single, easily one of the best tracks on the album.
2.Be With You - ** - It's hard to follow up the opener and this falls right down hill after, "Ok." It's more of a dancey track.
3.The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) - [5 *'s} - Great! This a great tune for the Spring. It is pop music.
4.Feels So Good - [3 *'s] - This is co-written by Kylie Minogue which gives away this is a dance track.
5.Walking On Water - [3 *'s] - Average track, slower than the others.
6.Love Doesn't Have To Hurt - [3 *'s] - A mid tempo pop tune, the new single for the U.K.
7.Love Won't Wait - ** - A track which I usually skip, definatly pop music.
8.Whole Again - [5 *'s] - This was the first U.S.A single released in April 2002, it never went anywhere so they left the U.S. to conquer the rest of the world. A slow ballad.
9.Last Goodbye - [5 *'s] - This track reminds me of Christmas, it is a slow ballad which is easily one of the best tracks on the album.
10.Right Now - [4 *'s]- The group's first U.K. single released in 1999, it reached #10. I could picture Kylie doing this track. It is fast dance pop.
11.Eternal Flame - [5 *'s] - The best track on the album. It is mid tempo and was originally sung by the Bangles.
12.The Moment You Leave Me - Another average pop track. A weak point on the album, I wouldn't have recommended to end with this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Atomic Kitten - About to Break the US, May 8, 2003
By
Susan (Holbrook, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Atomic Kitten (Audio CD)
The Liverpool trio has finally come across the pond and look certain to make a lasting mark on the US. "Atomic Kitten" combines the best of both their albums in the UK, a variety that includes ballads, dance tunes, and great pop songs.

The album starts off with It's Ok, an upbeat RnBish tune that peaked at #3 in the UK charts.
"Be With You" is next, a song not included on either of hte UK albums (it was released as a single though). Great dance tune that would go great in the clubs.
"Tide is High", the most successful track from the kitten's second album is a remake of the blondie version. It is also featured in the Lizzie McGuire movie and is the first single the kittens will be promoting in the US.
"Feels So Good" is an upbeat tune that will probably remind you of Kylie Minogue.. that could be because she wrote it specially for the kittens!
"Walking on the Water" is one of my personal favorites.. it has an incredibly catchy chorus!
"Love Doesn't Have to Hurt" is the Kittens latest single in the UK. A very sweet ballad.
"Love Won't Wait" is a Funky dance tune that will get you on your feet!
"Whole Again" was the Kittens first hit, topping the UK charts with it for 4 weeks. An upbeat ballad that has propelled the kittens to stardom all over the world.
"The Last Goodbye" is another ballad that shows off the girls' wonderful voices.
"Right Now" is another song from the Kittens first album.. it's a catchy upbeat tune that's sure to be popular amoung kids.
"Eternal Flame" is also from their first album and was their second no. 1 song in the UK. It's a cover of the Bangles' version and the kittens sing it wonderfully.
"The moment you Leave Me" Not sure why they ended with this song, but whatever. It's a mid-tempo song, probably one of the weaker on the album but not bad.

With the right promotion, the Kittens should take the US by storm!

5.0 out of 5 stars Contains all the Kitten's greatest hits!, July 5, 2003
This review is from: Atomic Kitten (Audio CD)
The Kittens have released two albums - "Right Now" and "Feels So Good". This brilliant CD contains tracks from both CDs, kind of a greatest hits even though the girls are still going (they are recording their third album as we speak). But this CD is mostly tracks from their second CD. Here is my review:

1. Its OK
Great song, with a nice violin beginning. It sounds like it might be slow, but when the steady beats kicks in, it completely changes. It has a very catchy chorus. From the second album. 5/5
2. Be With You
I love this song! It's one of AK's best tracks ever! It's pop, but dance at the same time. I love Liz's vocals on this, and Tash sounds good too. It's from none of their albums, but it was an a-side to another single. 5/5
3. Tide Is High (Get The Feeling)
The Kittens' best single EVER! This Blondie cover hits all the right notes - great music, great lyrics, great vocals. This is my favourite Kitten track ever! From the second album. 5,000,000/5
4. Feels So Good
A cool dancy upbeat track, the title track from the second album. 4/5
5. Walking On The Water
A great midtempo track, with fantastic music at the beginning. Should have been a single (if there is, I'd recommend this). From the second album 5/5
6. Love Doesn't Have To Hurt
I love this song! It's so sweet, but the radio edit is better. But Jenny sounds excellent on the first verse. From the second album. 5/5
7. Love Won't Wait
Another dance track from the second CD. This is alright, but not one of my favourite Kitten songs. 4/5
8. Whole Again
This is the song that sent the girls to the bigtime - it is sweet, slow and lovely. From the first album. 5/5
9. The Last Goodbye
This was my fave AK track for ages, but now I don't like it as much now. But I still love the music and the vocals. From the second album. 5/5
10. Right Now
Their debut single (when Kerry was still in the group), this is fast paced, a definite dance track. From the first album. 5/5
11. Eternal Flame

A cover of the Bangles classic, this song is fantastic. Tash's vocals sound soooooo good. From the first album. 5/5
12. The Moment You Leave Me
I wonder why they put this on the CD. It's a nice track, but kind of bland compared to the others. It's nice though. 4/5

Favourite songs:

1. The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling)
2. Be With You
3. Love Doesn't Have To Hurt
4. Eternal Flame
5. Whole Again

Some songs they should have considered putting on this CD:

"No One Loves You (Like I Love You)"
"Strangers"
"Tomorrow & Tonight"
"Baby Don't U Hurt Me"
"Cradle"
"Bye Now"
"I Want Your Love"

If you don't want to buy both of Atomic Kitten's albums, get this CD. It needs more tracks from the debut album, but overall this is a BRILLIANT CD that contains all the girls' best songs.

5.0 out of 5 stars These Girls Are ATOMIC!!, June 25, 2003
This review is from: Atomic Kitten (Audio CD)
I first heard these girls on radio Disney and went out to buy the CD and I tell you I am completely satified with every song on the album. The music that they sing is hypnotic fun. If you are looking for some wholesome fun music than you most assuredly should buy this CD. There should be a place for it in every CD collection.
ALBUM HIGHLIGHT:
Track 3: Tide is High(Get The Feeling)
-This song is very fun to listen it really made them noticeable here in the US. It is the best song on the album in my opinion, very fun, very upbeat and happy.

.......Not to mention these girls are very cute!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best pop albums ever, June 21, 2003
This review is from: Atomic Kitten (Audio CD)
I bought this album when released in England and it is fantastic. It combines pop and r'n'b and with fantastic vocals this really is a great CD! The best tracks are The Last Goodbye, It's OK, and So Hot. I would reccommend this to everyone in the US as you'll be hearing a lot more of these gals soon :D

5.0 out of 5 stars More than just 3 pretty faces..., May 19, 2003
By
This review is from: Atomic Kitten (Audio CD)
In a music world that has been flooded with rap and hip-hop, Atomic Kitten are a very nice change of pace to say the least. Good old-fashioned pop mixed with some highly sophisticated r&b! The Americas are the last places on earth where AK have not garnered success. That, I believe, is going to change over the next year. With music this infectious and sung by 3 beautiful young woman (who CAN sing), I find it hard to believe that AK won't find success in North America. Canada, however, will not be their biggest obstacle. It's Canada's neighbour to the south, a 'little' nation called the United States that is AK's largest challenge. Yet, doesn't this go for everyone?? Over the next year, you'll be hearing songs like 'The Tide is High' 'Eternal Flame' 'It's OK' 'Whole Again' and 'Love Doesn't Have to Hurt.' All catchy and most definitely hit worthy. Radio, however, may not think the same. So, if you're looking to take a break from hip-hop and rap (even for just a little while) and escape to something lighter and brighter, AK is a fantastic choice!

I've been an AK fan ever since Kerry was still in the group, I love all their songs and I'd kill to look like them LOL. Anyway I only own Right Now which I got imported a couple years ago. This is a good combination of songs from their two UK albums except I think they should've included See Ya (it was in the Bring It On OST), You Are & Cradle in it too- other than it's awesome! I really hope they make it big here- they're so good and they deserve it!
