Recent boosts in signal strength have improved clock reception in remote areas. The Atomix 548 automatically adjusts itself to daylight savings time and back to standard time.
This clock comes with a brown acrylic flat frame suitable for home use, with black numerals on a white face. The time is displayed in hours, minutes, and seconds. It runs on one AA battery, included with purchase, which lasts an average of two years.

This review is from: Atomix 548 - 11.5" Brown Acrylic Flat Frame Atomic Clock (Electronics)
I was a little skeptical of the claims made by the manufacturer but it looked like a great idea so I gave it a try. I put in the battery, followed the simple directions and was off and running in less than ten minutes. Is it really working? I'm a pilot so I have a handheld GPS that is updated by the atomic clocks onboard the satellites. My random checks confirmed it was working. Cool. In April came the big test -- will it really 'Spring Forward' on it's own? The geek in me couldn't resist watching. Yep. It marched the hands forward at the appointed time. A little spooky but fascinating. Now that the novelty has worn off we just regard it as THE CLOCK and set all our other timepieces by it.
