4.0 out of 5 stars Too Theoretical for Many Applications, December 17, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Atomization and Sprays (Combustion : An International Series) (Hardcover)
This is an excellent text for those experienced spray designers, i.e., product engineers, and a challenge to project engineers. Project engineers need a quick reference: this is not it. For those who must know the details of spray nozzle design, this would be a useful book for your shelf.

If this helpful, please add your vote. Thanks.

PS

This text is layed out well with good tables and graphs developed by the author and others. If you must get into the nitty-gritty on spray nozzles this might be a great place to start. It reads easily.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good guide book, February 23, 2009
This review is from: Atomization and Sprays (Combustion : An International Series) (Hardcover)
This book is orginzed very well for any one interested in nozzle industry. The theories, previous researchers, comparision between correlations and comments, even experiment data and calculation on the same graph, are layed out for a beginner to understand easily. I found this book has been cited massively by other researchers and internet papers. And almost every important discoverys and theories are discussed on this book up to 1988. Therefore, one may use this book as a guide or hand book for spray and atomization.
One serious drawback, however, for this book is it is not up to date. After all, it was written in 1988. And a lot of new technologies and improvments are missing from it, such as ink jet technology. But after all, among many books regarding atomization, I found this one interesting.
