Bizarre and thoughtful end to the Gazetteer series,

This review is from: The Atruaghin Clans (Dungeons & Dragons/Gazetteer Accessory GAZ14) (Paperback)
This is the final chapter in the acclaimed Gazeteer series! This one covers the wondrous Clansmen of the far steppes. Included are culture, magic, shaman rules, a giant poster map, new spells, rules for new PC types, and some of the most gorgeous artwork you'll ever see in a D&D module! An ingenious sourcebook that will leave you thirsty for more.

Nice, but not what I'd hoped for,

This review is from: The Atruaghin Clans (Dungeons & Dragons/Gazetteer Accessory GAZ14) (Paperback)
I watched this product on Amazon for a long time, waiting for an acceptable price. I'm glad I waited. It is a high-quality product, but not quite what I was hoping for. If you're looking for a supplement with ideas on how to integrate American Indian-style characters into the D&D world, this isn't it. It is a very specific setting, largely separate from the rest of the world, and the Atruaghin are based VERY loosely on the actual, historical people they resemble. Don't get me wrong, the exterior artwork is beautiful, the new spells are interesting, and the backstory is well-thought-out; it just wasn't what I wanted it to be.
