Lasted about 3 hours.

Over all this is a very good hour meter to keep track of how long a piece of equipment has been running for maintenance purposes .

Dimensions listed in description are wrong. See Product Images, I've posted an image of the correct dimensions of the item I received. Use them for planning only, Northern Tool may change suppliers or have multiple suppliers. Added metric dimensions.

Easy to install. Just hooks to a power source when motor is running. Doesn't even need correct polarity. It's good to know engine hours for proper maintance.

Had to replace my old hour meter on my Case 350-B dozer as it stopped keeping time . Thanks James for posting the real measurements which were very helpful ! I don't have a lot of space behind the gauge panel , so the included push and snap retaining clip came in really handy . My fingers are just too fat to hold the original nuts that came off the old one . Case actually wanted $85.00 for their replacement but I didn't find any difference in materials or performance . Over all this is a very good hour meter to keep track of how long a piece of equipment has been running for maintenance purposes .

This hour meter was chosen for it's low price ... after install, the meter clicked and ran fine, for a whopping three tenths of an hour. would not recomend this meter needless to say.I called the supplier and was toldthat the failure rate used to be 40% but was now at 1.5%. My reply was it must be my lucky day. It's now been three weeks and a promised replacement is a no show

Nice hour meter, but I didn't use it yet - my boat as I learned when I was ready to install it, has a plugged hole for a round faced style. So this will go in another toy. Good quality timer.

I bought this meter to replace an earlier purchase that failed after 5 hour. The other meter that failed used spark plug pickup. This meter uses 12v power and separate ground.

I don't know why an hour meter was not put on at the factory? There was a slot for it on the control console. Anyway, it took fifteen minutes including reading the instructions, and it works like a charm. I have no excuse for missing maintenance schedules now.

I received this Meter on time, and in good condition. It was packaged vary well. First thing I did was to check it for operation by using a 9 volt battery hooked up to it. I kept track of the time, and compaired it to a clock. Was right on! I bought this to keep track of my hours for oil changes on my Land Master UTV. I had to cut a hole in the dash to match the meter. It would have been nice if it would have came with a metal template for cutting the hole. I made one by taking a thin piece of Alum sheet metal, cut it to size, then drilled two holes in the center portion, and screwed it to the dash. Then I used a stanley knife to cut the plastic dash around the edge of the template. This worked out great! Wiring it up was a simple task, just keep the + & - hooked for the right polarity.
