Du vol...pour les cowboys!,

Avez-vous déjà vu un CD double et un DVD avec plus de deux heures de matériel (vidéoclips, "musicographie" et neuf extraits de spectacle) pour 20.00$??? Ça ne serait pas cher pour un album de Michèle Richard. Imaginez maintenant que c'est un disque des Cowboys Fringants!!! c'est pas compliqué, c'est du vol pour le groupe! Pour ceux qui ont manqué la tournée de "Break Syndical" (comme moi), c'est un "must". Pour ceux qui ont vu le spectacle, c'est une bonne archive pour vos yeux. Pour les autres, c'est une excellente occasion de faire connaissance avec le groupe Québécois de l'heure et des années à venir. Merci aux Cowboys Fringants!

This group from Quebec is a melange of styles, but certainly have a country and folk element as well as traditional quebecois--which is country and folk after all. The two CD set also comes with a DVD with several music videos and quite a bit of footage from the concert as well as a documentry. The latter is all in very accented Quebec French and, though I speak French, I found it hard to follow--but certainly got the gist of what they said.Their Quebec accented French is "savoreux" if a little hard to understand. One drawback is that the words are not included. There are Internet sources where most of their lyrics can be found. I love it. Toune d'automne is wonderful haunting song and is on the DVD as well as the CD. Their musicianship is terrific. Judging by the way the crowd sang along they have a real following in La Belle Province. If you like tradition mixed with contemporary and a mixture of styles, then you will enjoy Les Cowboys Fringants.

Cet ensemble de CD/DVD est une excellente valeure. Ils degagent une energie et un rythme qui est propre aux Cowboys en spectacle. Ideal pour decouvrir les Cowboys!

Suite à un séjour à Lavaltrie, j'ai eu le plaisir d'avoir en possession un album des Cowboys. J'ai tout de suite adhéré à leur sens musical et à leur texte. vraiment un très grand groupe.
