This book was laugh out loud funny.

What can I say, I needed a good release from five years of utter frustration at the hands of my liberal friends and the liberal media.

This is obviously a very specific kind of book.

I just finished the book "Attack of the 50ft. Democrats" by story teller R. K. Delka.

My compliments and accolades to a simplistically brilliant mind.

After finishing this book, all I could say or think was, Wow..."Are there any more or will there be any more of these wonderfully humorous but intellectually calculated stories that express what millions and millions of real American patriots and hard working, concerned and frustrated regular citizens are feeling and agonizing over these days?"

Its characters do not unequivocally and specifically relate to real life persons. But anyone who knows the corruption spilled forth before them continually on the News Channels every day, by the talking heads (or should I say puppets) of the left; whose strings are almost visible on the TV screen. And those who watch those slobbering and ranting `useful idiots' of the left who preach their master's propaganda to us like good little Stalinist, knows the true desperate situation our country is in.

And when we hear and see the daily lies and manipulation on the airways that takes place on a regular basis by government officials. We realize that some of the movies we watch are not really fantasy - but modified depictions of the real corruption taking place in world around us every day. Only the "people" generally never win in real life...sadly.

One can find some relief of heart and soul and the agony that real people like each of us are feeling, in this book by R. K. Delka. The truth...through an intriguing tale of fantasy...that he puts out there sarcastically and humorously and which allow us to quiet our troubled souls with his jovial legerdemain.

There is something quaint and honest about this book. It's not a political treatise. It's not a balanced look at the current political situation. It's not an apology for conservatism. It's a straight up piece of old fashioned pulp fiction offering solid entertainment and release. This novel is very obviously aimed at Republicans, and there's nothing wrong with that. If anything, Republicans need more novel writers.

As can be imagined from the title, this book revolves around a bunch of giant Democrats destroying the country. The primary theme revolves around the obviously unfair treatment of Republicans at the hands of the mainstream media, and the apparent hegemony certain liberal billionaire donors have over the Democrat party.

It's a good read, though I must admit the book was kinda slow between the opening scene (which was good) and the appearance of the first giant monster (perhaps thirty pages). After that beast appeared, I really liked the novel. What can I say, I needed a good release from five years of utter frustration at the hands of my liberal friends and the liberal media. No apologies are going to be given, we conservatives need this.

This is obviously a very specific kind of book. It will not change minds or ignite an intellectual discussion. It does, however, succeed for what it is: slapstick political satire. Poking fun at everything from vacuous Hollywood starlets to agenda-driven, Obama-obsessed reporters, it has a feel of a Rush Limbaugh parody or an SNL skit put into a book form. Some jokes are more accessible than others (no one but a political junkie will catch the "crease in the pants" reference), but on the whole it is very, very funny. In a manner of Family Guy, South Park (or if you prefer an older, cleaner reference, the Airplane! movies), the book throws jokes against the wall, and most of them stick. There are some decent action scenes and a couple of truly poignant moments that, though necessary for the plot, seem to belong in a more serious work, and show that the author may have potential as a thriller writer in the future.
Mostly, it's pure, light entertainment, just right for any reader who is ready for a break from dark cautionary tales that have dominated conservative/libertarian fiction in recent years. I'm giving this book 4 stars not for literary excellence but for sheer enjoyment I derived from it. If you agree with the author's politics, you are guaranteed to finish this book in better mood than when you started, and there is something to be said for that. So... put that dystopia aside, ignore the latest scary headline on your computer, and spend a couple of hours with this little guilty pleasure.

I laughed throughout this book. It is well written political satire about today's political environment and the author turns it into a rollicking review. Its been a long 5 years since "O" and his chums fooled America and took office communicating with his double speak and living by Alinsky rules so there is not much to laugh at these days. However Mr Delka is able to set all that aside and give a pretty funny review of today's political scene. "I highly recommend Attack of the 50 Foot Democrats"

An interesting light read that makes you laugh out loud. The best way to deal with the disaster that is Obama is to laugh at it, and this book/author provides you with the relief that you may need to do so. Very funny, and a must read. 5/5
