This review is from: Star Wars Attack of the Clone Sneak Preview R3-T7 Action Figure (Toy)
I'm a sucker for R2 units (and the action figures thereof), and this one's no exception. R3-T7 shows some advancements in the standard molding and jointing of the R2 droid figures, but it's for a good cause - hiding the figure's joints within a more detailed replica of the actual movie prop. I'm still a bit dubious on the merits of the translucent "lightning"/"laser blast" items included with the figures from the new film, but thankfully they're all removable. The detailing is taken to a new level of excellence - trust me, this IS the droid you're looking for.

R3's pretty good but you can't do a lot with him. Personally,I like R3. All and all he's a good toy, esspecially the see thru head and how it clicks. The retactable leg is also wicked cool. The only thing I don't get is why he's a toy at all. Where in the movie do you see him?

The same size and shape as the other R2-type droid figures that have been released in recent years. Its head is see-through and the detail in there is pretty cool. Its feet are articulated so it can be put in three-legged rolling mode and all three feet stay flat on the ground. Its third leg is retractable. Its eye doesn't light up but the head makes the requisite clicking/chirping noise when it's turned. It comes with some sort of "electric-shock" accessory which is, fortunately, removable. The paint job is decent and it appears to have some "battle damage". Not the most exciting figure of the four AOTC preview figs, but I have a soft spot for R2 (or in this case, R3) units so it will always have a place of honor on my desk.
