5.0 out of 5 stars the book its higth level.. but has one issue, December 3, 2010
This review is from: Attack and Defence: The Fifth and Final Session from the World-Famous Chess School (Paperback)
About the book is great.
Great hight level examples, top elite games were choosen and great explanation.
My best chapter of this book are:
A.Wandering through the labyrith.
B. Visual imagination
C chapter about Attack and deffnce.

There are six chapter each one, has 3 articules from different author, like yusupov, and MArk , mihail Krasenkoe, Vladimir vulson. Every are international Grand Master, well every one instead of Mark Dvoretsky.

Marl Dvoretsky is consider the stronger MI in the world during, 70`s and early 80`s. He was Staff of Botvinik chess academy, with the true father of Rusia chess. Yes he worked with Botvinik and meet Garry Kasparov when he was a child, and coach him.

the material in this book, are article that he left to his student. If you are Rusian`s Chess lover, this book will give a guide to lead of preparation, this is a truly plus value of the book.

OK the only issue of this book is this, Its the SAME of. SECRETS OF CREATIVE THINKING School of future champion. by Mark Droretsky and Arthur Yusupov. from EDITION OLM.

Here is the link
[...].

I dont know why are two edition of this book, its the same, some Champter are diferrent for only two words.

Great book, but beware if you allready have SECRETS OF CREATIVE THINKING School of future champion. Mark Droretsky and Arthur Yusupov, dont Attack and Defence.

GREAT book with copyright issue. Two editon diferrent title but the same contents. Maybe OLM Edition buy the right, i dont know!!!

This review is from: Attack and Defence: The Fifth and Final Session from the World-Famous Chess School (Paperback)
What makes this text compelling is its content. In other words it is not the organization or exposition of the material which is particularly outstanding but the content is timeless and I know of no other book which coveres the organization of the thought process for over the board playing so well. If you ever felt you got lost in the analysis of variations, lost sight of your analysis, ran into time trouble, or keep missing opportunities which appear obvious in hinsight, well then here is your remedy. Buy it, apply what you read and you will conquer all of the above. Herman Grooten's book titled "Chess strategy for the club player" makes a great addition. With these two books alone you can spend a coupe month on a far away island be well entertained and return a stronger player.
