The Best Fighter in Years,

This is the coolest Star Wars vehicle to be created in years. The overall appearance and solid design make it an excellent choice. I like the paint, the detail, and the "fight mode" transition. The button that accomplishes the switch to fight mode works very well...it reminds me a lot of the features on the original trilogy toys. It's cool how the front landing gear retracts and extends, but it seems cheap. The decals are a nice touch, but can be difficult to apply in certain tight spaces like the cockpit. Make sure you remove the canopy before attempting this. Small tools like tweezers expedite the decal application. The paint is pretty realistic, giving the impression that the ship has seen its share of action. This ship was larger and more robust than I expected. Overall I was impressed. I've been cautious of Hasbro products in the last few years because they were getting to be so poorly made, but this toy redeems them. I plan on getting the Slave I now and the two speeders, and I can't wait for the Republic Gunship to be released.

One of the coolest fighter ships in the Star Wars collection. Great detail and very creative. The transformation of flight mode to fight mode is nice. Cockpit is a little tight, but it fits the character that belongs in there which is Obi-Wan so that's all that matters.

A huge Star Wars Fan, I am happy to now have the excuse of buying the ne EPII toys for my son. An eager player in my youth (I owned many figures and playsets), I am glad to see that quality is improved. The starship is terrific, down to its Imperial "Republic" logo. The two outer red wings shoot off when the fighter goes into battle mode (by pressing a button on the bottom). Two side wings (much like a tie fighter or the Darth Maul Ship) then deploy. Also shooting missles (two) can now be shot from the ship. An action figure can be placed in the cockpit.

The somewhat childish box photographs don't due this ship justice. Ignore the box cover and get this toy,-er model,-er toy. The paint job is the most complex one that I've ever seen on any STAR WARS product, and is dead on besides. The detail is outstanding, and the ejectable weapons cowlings, deployable solar fins, and launchable missles-although not seen on the screen version-are well done and beautifully integrated into the ship without compromising surface detailing and accuracy. I would have to say that this is probably the most accurate STAR WARS toy reproduction besides the new LANDSPEEDER. Even the R2 unit and forward landing skid are nicely done-with the latter being able to retract/deploy slide into the fuselage. The decals are too thick, however, but this is a minor complaint when measured against all the other great features of this craft. BUY SEVERAL, NOW!!

Ship looks great, paint-job and detail are better then previous Star Wars toys! The only trouble is the insainly small decalls that were hard to apply inside the cockpit. As a big fan of the series and a collector I highly reconmend this toy!

This toy is very durable. It is fun if you have another toy about this size to battle with. It unfortuantely dosen't have a piolit to put in the cockpit. If you want one I would recomend a 9 inch fuigure to go in it. It also has more weapons inside the wings.(you press a button at the bottom)

I bought this at Christmas for my 5 year old along with Jango's Slave 1 so he could have races and chases. Well, it is now May and he is still playing with it.Of course, all the pieces are missing, including the detachable wings. But those are not necessary for space chases. He was a little disappointed that is did not come with the ring for hyperspace travel. I would recommend this toy. It has given my son hours of fun and imagination. Enjoy! Jenny Bogue

One of the best toys ever. This starfighter has great detail; its burn marks show it's been in battle. The cockpit with the stickers put on looks awesome, and the engines are exactly like the engines in the movie. It has a hidden fight mode that, when you hit the button that's located on the bottom of the ship, causes the wings to pop off and reveals guns and a missile on each wing that fire about 7 feet (on one of the guns you can put on blast effects)! The R-4 has fantastic detail and can turn 360 degrees. This is a must buy, sure to please anyone.

This toy is kind of cheap! The wings keep falling off and they're hard to put back on. Also, I can't find an action figure to buy that will fit in the pilot seat...
