5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun + very moving.
Screamin' Rays pulled off the early 90's swing feel very well. Felt like I was living back in the 20's and 30's all over again (even thuogh I'm only 18:)

My favorite song is "Why You Cryin'?". I was very moved and insprired by it. If you're looking for a "No Doubt" equivalent on the Christian scene, this is as close as I've heard a band come yet.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hidden Song on Screamin Ray's CD
This cd goes from good to bad. Some songs are worth the listen, and others are good to skip. But what got me was that years after owning this cd, I found a hidden song about 12 minutes after track 10 ends. An easier way to hear it is to go to track 11, which is a few seconds of silence, and back up from there.

With Crystal Lewis singing with her husband on...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Attack of the Screamin' Rays!, October 11, 1999

These veteran Southern California Rockabilly/Roots artists really know how to tear it up! Accomplished musicians and former members of bands such as The Lifters, The Red Devils, The Delta Ramblers, Wild Blue Yonder, The Knitters and many others. Shining with their love of the Lord they deliver a powerful message! These cats start out swingin' and take you on a musical tour of Roots Rock, Jump Blues and Rockabilly! A real treat to the ears, don't miss out on this one!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A swingin' good time with a message, October 3, 1999

The artists in the band are all accomplished mucisians and the fact the Crystal Lewis lends her talented voice to the recording makes the CD that much closer to being perfect. The muscicans have a great time playing on the CD while at the same time sharing insirational messages. The CD also offers a complete CD-Rom bible,in different languages with screen savers and the artist's favorite quotes from the bible. You will not be able to keep your feet from tapping and don't be surprised if you'll want to learn to swing dance after listening only once! It's very addicting and very uplifting! I hope they do another CD SOON!

5.0 out of 5 stars Christian Swingabilly... gotta love it., January 29, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
At the outset, I'm a huge fan of music that mixes genre's. This album is basically a mix of swing, rock, contemporary Christian, traditional gospel, and about 4 or five other genre's. As you would expect from Crystal Lewis being featured, the vocals are rock-solid, and the instrumentals aren't bad either. This is one of my all-time favorite Christian albums. Highly recommended if you enjoy music that breaks the mold.
