A series for future paleontologist!!,
This review is from: Attack of the Tyrannosaurus (Dinosaur Cove, No. 1) (Paperback)
I would highly recommend this informative series about dinosaurs. It's much better than the Magic Tree House series and well written too.The facts are presented via the "Fossil Finder" which my son thought was very cool and the accompanying maps and fact files only added to its appeal. We have a new word in our house now-'JATOM'.I enjoyed reading it as much as my 6 year old son and can't wait to get my hands on the other books in this series.
Are you curious about Jatom??? Read the book.

A Great Series,

This is a great series for boys and Dinosaur Lovers. Short chapters (4-6 pages). My 6 year son loves these and even my 3 year old loves to listen to the stories. Series is about two friends that find a cave with a secret passage that leads them back to the age of dinosaurs. They travel back and forth in time and the stories revolve around their adventures in the dinosaur age and the present day dino museum that one of the characters father has just opened. I would recommend for ages up to 10. Illustrations are every few pages and are non-color. Highly recommend for early readers and young boys.

Easy to get hooked!,

This review is from: Attack of the Tyrannosaurus (Dinosaur Cove, No. 1) (Paperback)
My 5 year old boy has always liked being read to, but this one became an instant favorite. We were going to read a chapter or two a night but he couldn't get enough. We read it in two days. He talks about it, brings it in the car, wants to take it to school. We've already read the second one now and the third is his reward for exemplary behavior at school this week. Rex Stone puts in the factual information but the plot carries so quickly that the story does not get bogged down with it.

Created a love of reading in my child!,

This review is from: Attack of the Tyrannosaurus (Dinosaur Cove, No. 1) (Paperback)
This series made my child love to read!!!!My daughter loves dinosaurs and all animals for that matter but has NEVER loved books. If you handed her a chapter book she would cry and scream to avoid reading it. Yes, thats how much she hated reading and I'm not putting it lightly. Then I came upon the Dinosaur Cove series and bought the first two books. They went unread for a few weeks as she was reluctant to even look at them. Then I decided to read the first two chapters to her and instantly she was hooked!!! The books are not only a fun reading adventure for your child but have fantastic illustrations that add to the entertainment. Now my daughter and I read together every night and she loves it! There is no forcing her anymore, she is now waving the books in my face telling me to hurry up. We have zipped through half the series now and I just bought another four books. I highly recommend these books for any child who loves dinosaurs.

A Narrow Escape,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Attack of the Tyrannosaurus (Dinosaur Cove, No. 1) (Paperback)
I am seven years old. For the beginning of a series, this book is not bad. It has a very good introduction to entering dino world. When dino world is entered, they first meet a small dinosaur that likes stinky ginko fruits and this is very funny. And then the Tyrannosaurus comes along, so they run away, and this makes for an exciting start.

My 7 year old son loves the Dinosaur Cove books. His reading is not quite fluent enough to read them himself, but he really enjoys the stories. They are about 60 pages long, so we read them at bedtime over several nights. One of his favorite chapter books...

Attack of the T-Rex,

Attack of the Tyrannosaurus is an easy read suited for children who love adventure and dinosaurs. There are just enough illustrations to help assist a child in painting a complete picture of the events. The maps found in the beginning and end help Dinosaur Cove come alive. This book is suitable for children as young as kindergarten (as a read aloud), but most suitable as an independent read for a second grader.

Same book, Different Name,

I really like the Dinosaur Cove series, however you must know that Attack of the Tyrannosaurus is exactly the same book as Attack of the Lizard King. The cover and title are different; however all the words in the book are the same.
