Attention! This Book Will Make You Money: How to Use Attention-Getting Online Marketing to Increase Your Revenue

I've spent 10 years in online marketing, and have helped my clients generate millions of dollars in revenue. I purchased a copy of this book through Amazon to see if it offered any new ideas.

What I appreciate most about this book is that the author did a tremendous amount of research into attention-getting marketing techniques. There are countless case studies, plus a few exclusive interviews with successful business owners.

Unfortunately, I found the book to be very light on practical ways to generate attention for an online business. While there are a few useful marketing tips, most of them are sales psychology 101, and have already been discussed in a number of other books on the subject.

What should have been the best chapter - 26 Ways to Generate Killer Ideas - was honestly a big disappointment. The author suggests things like climbing stairs to get your brain going, doodling on paper, taking a shower, listening to music, and even wearing a silly hat to establish a routine for coming up with business ideas.

As far as fun and inspirational reading goes, I couldn't have asked for a better book. I have yet to come across a similar work with as many case studies and examples as this one. The problem is that even though it encourages the reader to think outside of the box, the book rarely offers practical methods for coming up with killer ideas.

So while I don't think the book would offer any new ideas to experienced internet marketers, I'm still glad that I bought it. It's a fun read that shows you what's possible in business when you think outside of the box.

I received my copy yesterday (Aug 3) and I am 62 pages in. I've already begun implementing Jim's suggestions as I prepare to brand myself and enter the world of real estate. As a chamber of commerce executive director (ie "attention getter/marketer"), I've read ideas in this book that I have already had success with (i.e.: Jim is credible!), and I've discovered many useful nuggets I will be using to grow and develop my personal real estate brand, and our chamber of commerce brand.

Buy this book, dig in and put these ideas to work. Jim's collection of ideas and practices is relevant, real-time, and real-world applicable. His approach to dealing with the media is spot on, I've had the exact same experiences. Keep in mind, I am only 62 pages in, and had to take a moment to let you all know what I think already!

If you're starting, tweeking, growing, or selling a business, this book is a must for understanding how to get your message out there quickly and effectively!

So you want to make money online? You don't need a gimmick you need some practical advice and that is exactly what Jim's book has. He knows how to get attention and traffic back towards making your online efforts profitable.

This book is no get rich quick scheme it is a step by step method of getting your website or blog towards getting maximum attention and get visitors who will likely buy from you. The book is an easy read and gives you steps you can take right away and incorporate into your existing websites.

You will profit by taking the actions that Jim has described in this book. By following Jim's methods you will get your website noticed by major newspapers and maybe even on your nightly news.

Jim Kukral has written a winning combination for success. Success for the reader and success for the author. Success for the reader because the tactics are going to help you make money. Success for the author because Jim has established many real world examples that he personally has created to help the reader.

Jim's pull no punches approach to gaining attention is backed up by actual attention getting tactics that he has used to earn money not only for his customers but himself. I've been on the receiving end of some amazing advice from Jim Kukral, free of charge. Jim offers to help so many people get motivated through his Motivation Bootcamp. He teaches people to become better makers of online video through the Online Video Toolkit and he helps you set up a $7.95 marketing plan. Jim's tactics work and they will make you money and help you gain attention.

I received a copy of the book for review on the same day that the copy that I pre-ordered and purchased arrived in the mail. So in case you are assuming that I am a Jim Kukral paid reviewer please understand that I paid for a copy of the book months before I found out that I would receive one for review. That being said, the book is fantastic. There are some great case studies, interviews and so many tactics to help you discover attention getting devices that you can take advantage of. You just need to define what you want, be creative, lose the ego and go for it. Learn from someone who walks the walk and doesn't just talk the talk. Jim is the real thing.

The cover alone should get you thinking about how to make attention getting marketing. A bright color, arrows that walk you through the title, and a very compelling title. Be sure to read the "Question Mark" guy story - starts on page 197 - about how just using an (somewhat obnoxious) attention getting style built a million dollar plus revenue stream. It was more than just the product, which was available everywhere - including for free - it was about the attention getting technique he used.

Book is full of really good, actionable stories. It's a must buy.

I just downloaded this book (Kindle version) today and let me say, it's been hard to put it down. Jim's conversational writing style mixed with literally hundreds of case studies make Attention! a must-read.

I spent last week driving around and listening to your audio book. I really enjoyed it. The stories are inspirational and educational. I will listen to it again in the near future.

Just finished listening to it for the 2nd time on my Kindle (it's a text to voice enabled book so those long commutes become productive). I was amazed how much I missed the first time through. This is one you will need to read several times if you want to get everything Jim teaches. Not that his presentation lacked anything...quite the opposite. Reading it is like trying to take the proverbial drink from a fire hydrant.
